    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a scheduling request to a base station using the dedicated uplink resources. The UE may transmit the scheduling request to indicate that a group of UEs requests uplink resources for an uplink data transmission. As a result, the UE may receive downlink control information from a base station which includes corresponding uplink resources allocated to the UE based on the scheduling request. The UE may use the allocated uplink resources to transmit uplink data to the base station.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a medium access control (MAC) command element (CE) indicating an update to a spatial relation configuration of the UE for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmissions, the update indicated by PUCCH resource information. The UE may update the spatial relation configuration of the UE with the PUCCH resource information. The UE may transmit a PUCCH transmission using the spatial relation configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may receive a configuration for a first random access message of a two-step random access channel procedure. The wireless device may select a subcarrier spacing and a number of demodulation reference signal occurrences for transmitting the first random access message based at least in part on the configuration and a speed of the wireless device. The wireless device may transmit the first random access message of the two-step random access channel procedure using the subcarrier spacing and the number of demodulation reference signal occurrences.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring parameters for small data transfer (SDT) transmissions. One example technique provides a method for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE), involving: obtaining configuration information received from a network entity, the configuration information indicating a plurality of configurations for small data transfer (SDT) transmission, determining at least one of a transport block size (TBS) or data threshold for SDT transmission based on one of the configurations, and outputting for transmission one or more SDT transmissions based on the determination.
