Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To support communications across a wideband, a base station and user equipment (UE) may communicate across the wideband using a set of sub-bands that span the carrier bandwidth (e.g., the wideband). In some cases, the UE may transmit, to the base station, an indication of a capability of the UE to communicate a wideband communication with the base station via the set of sub-band based communications with the base station. The UE may receive, from the base station (and, in some cases based on the capability of the UE), a configuration for communicating with the base station in the carrier bandwidth using the set of sub-bands. Then, the UE may communicate with the base station in the carrier bandwidth using one or more of the set of sub-bands in accordance with the configuration.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) determines a downlink/uplink (DL/UL) switching capability of the UE, and reports the DL/UL switching capability to a network. The DL/UL switching capability may indicate a quantity of DL/UL switch points, N, supported by the UE, and a time duration to which the quantity of DL/UL switch points is applied. The DL/UL switching capability may indicate a minimum link duration for which the UE should maintain a link direction after a previous DL/UL switch operation and before a next DL/UL switch operation. The DL/UL switching capability may include a DL/UL switching delay indicating a time specified for the UE to complete a DL/UL switching operation. The DL/UL switching capability may be based on a reference subcarrier spacing (SCS).

The transmitting node may perform, to a receiving node, one or more transmissions during the COT using one or more transmit beams that are included in the sensing beam. Abstract: Aspects directed towards communications for random access procedures are disclosed. In one example, a first beam and a second beam may be available for communications between a scheduled entity and a scheduling entity. The scheduling entity may send, and the scheduled entity may receive, a message 1 transmission for a random access procedure on the first beam. The scheduled entity may open a random access response (RAR) window to monitor for a message 2 transmission according to a predetermined sequence designating whether to monitor the first beam, the second beam, or some combination thereof. The scheduling entity may send, and the scheduled entity may receive, the message 2 transmission on the first beam or the second beam as designated by the predetermined sequence. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may determine an energy detection threshold of a reference bandwidth, the energy detection threshold being based on at least one of a transmit power or a power class. The apparatus may also measure an interference level of at least one signal. The apparatus may monitor, based on the configuration, for a plurality of PDCCHs during PDCCH MOs. The PDCCH MOs may correspond to the first MOs or the second MOs. The first MOs of the USS set may be adjusted dynamically to be in same slots as the second MOs of the CSS set or to be within a predefined range of the second MOs of the CSS set.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to apparatus and methods of monitoring a region by a transmitting device within a wireless medium for transmissions using at least one directional beam covering the region. Upon determining that the region in the wireless medium is free of transmissions, the transmitting device transmits to a plurality of wireless devices in the region using a plurality of spatially separated directional beams. Other aspects of the disclosure relate to apparatus and methods for receiving an instruction, e.g., at a user equipment (UE), to perform a channel assessment at a first time. The UE monitors a region within a wireless medium for transmissions after receiving the instruction. Upon determining that the region is free of transmissions, the UE may send an acknowledgment of the received instruction.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for time domain single carrier (SC) waveform communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may generate an SC waveform by resampling (e.g., up-sampling) mapped information bits prior to insertion of a cyclic prefix (CP) or guard interval (GI). Performing resampling prior to CP/GI insertion allows for resource allocation flexibility and a base station may allocate resources for the SC waveform in accordance with this flexibility. For example, a base station may not be limited or restricted to a certain number of resources for SC waveform communications and may therefore determine a resource allocation for the UE based on the capability of the UE to perform resampling prior to CP/GI insertion. The resampling may be performed according to a set of parameters including a resampling ratio, which may be indicated to the UE via control signaling (e.g., from the base station).
