    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may receive a first indication of a configured communication for a first set of symbols. The UE may detect a second indication associated with a second set of symbols. The UE may determine that a direction of the configured communication is different from an indicated direction for the second set of symbols, the second set of symbols at least partially overlapping the first set of symbols. The UE may cancel the configured communication or may communicate the configured communication based at least in part on a physical layer priority of the configured communication and based at least in part on the determination that the direction of the configured communication is different from the indicated direction for the second set of symbols.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may involve a user equipment (UE) utilizing beam sweeping during a random access procedure to determine an uplink beam for subsequent communication with a base station. The UE may transmit a first message indicating a random access preamble for a random access procedure and a plurality of reference signals using a set of directional beams. The base station may receive the reference signals or information related to the reference signals and transmit a second message indicating a directional beam of the set of directional beams and a set of resources. Upon receiving the second message, the UE may transmit the third message over the set of resources using the indicated directional beam.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be provisioned with multiple semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations and/or semi-static configured grants (CGs). The UE may receive a first message indicating a first set of parameters for a first SPS configuration or for a first CG. The UE may receive a second message including at least one updated parameter for a SPS configuration or a CG. The UE may determine that the second message is applicable to one or more SPS configurations or CGs including the first SPS configuration or the first CG. The UE may overwrite a corresponding parameter of the first set of parameters with the at least one updated parameter. The UE may receive according to the first SPS configuration or transmit according to the first CG based on the at least one updated parameter.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may schedule uplink control channel repetitions for a user equipment (UE) on multiple component carriers (CCs). The UE may determine spatial relation information to apply to each uplink control channel repetition based on a rule, where the rule specifies for the UE to apply same spatial relation information to the repetitions or different spatial relation information to the repetitions. In some cases, the UE may use spatial relation information from a first uplink control channel repetition (e.g., per-frequency band, per-CC subgroup, or for each of the uplink control channel repetitions). In some other cases, the base station may indicate different spatial relation information for each uplink control channel repetition in control signaling. The UE may transmit the uplink control channel repetitions using the spatial relation information.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for beam selection based on user pose information provided by an extended reality (XR) application. The pose information may be used to determine a position of the UE, and one or more beam parameters may be requested based on the position of the UE. The position information of the UE may include position information for a current time period, predictive position information for one or more future time periods, or any combinations thereof. The UE may transmit a beam request to a base station for one or more beams for the current time period, for one or more future time periods, or any combinations thereof. The UE may request a switch between beams of differing beamwidths or having the same beamwidth, or request a change of a beamwidth of an existing beam.
