Abstract: This application discloses a NB-IoT-based communication method and an apparatus, to evolve a NB-IoT communication technology into an NTN. The method is as follows: A terminal device generates an uplink signal, including a superframe which includes a synchronization sequence located in first duration of the superframe and a data frame located in second duration which is after the first duration, the synchronization sequence successively includes a first sequence repeated Ni times and a second sequence repeated N2 times, the second sequence is obtained by multiplying the first sequence by −1, a part of consecutive sequences of the synchronization sequence are used as a first synchronization reference sequence that is obtained based on the second sequence repeated N2 times and one or more first sequences that are sorted from back to front in the first sequence repeated N1 times. The terminal device sends the uplink signal to a network device.

Abstract: This application provides an uplink signal synchronization method and a communication apparatus. A terminal device receives first indication information, where the first indication information indicates first duration, the first duration is validity duration of synchronization information, and the synchronization information is used for uplink signal synchronization. The terminal device performs the uplink signal synchronization based on second indication information within the first duration that is after reception of the second indication information, where the uplink signal synchronization includes time domain offset compensation and/or frequency domain offset compensation, and the second indication information indicates the synchronization information. This can improve communication reliability.

Abstract: A handover method and apparatus are disclosed. In some implementations, the method includes: determining a part of terminal devices to be handed over in a plurality of terminal devices in a staring area of a first beam; sending a first handover request message to a target satellite, where the first handover request message includes contexts of the part of terminal devices; and receiving a handover instruction sent by the target satellite based on the first handover request message, and sending the handover instruction to the part of terminal devices by using the first beam. The handover instruction includes handover parameters used for handing over the part of terminal devices. According to some implementations, the part of terminal devices in the plurality of terminal devices in the staring area may be handed over, so that a signaling storm can be avoided and communication performance can be improved.

Abstract: In a communication method, to meet a requirement of a positioning service, a first communication apparatus obtains data to be processed, and determines a first frame structure that includes a communication time period and a positioning time period. Abstract: A method and device are provided for encoding a master information block (MIB), where the MIB includes indication information, the indication information is used by a terminal device to determine a decoding mode for decoding first information, and the first information includes at least one of a system information block (SIB) 1 and system information (SI); and sending an encoded MIB to the terminal device. The terminal device can determine a correct decoding mode for the SIB and the SI according to the indication information before receiving the SIB and the SI, and then the terminal device can decode the SIB and the SI in the correct decoding mode after receiving the SIB and the SI. The terminal device can flexibly decode the SIB and the SI.

Abstract: Embodiments of the application provide a method for transmitting data in a wireless communication network. A device of the network receives a bit sequence of K information bits. The device polar codes the bit sequence to obtain a first encoded sequence, wherein a length of the first encoded sequence is N, and N is greater than or equal to K. The device block interleaves the first encoded sequence to obtain an interleaved bit sequence. The device determines a transmission code rate R. When the transmission code rate R is less than the code rate threshold, the device outputs a second bit sequence. The length of the second bit sequence is M, M is smaller than N. The second bit sequence is punctured from the interleaved bit sequence by removing (N−M) bits from beginning of the interleaved bit sequence.
