    Abstract: A terminal device flexibly configures a time length of a first timer (a downlink hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) round trip time timer or an uplink HARQ round trip time timer) based on different application scenarios. A wireless communication method includes: obtaining feature information of a first air interface format and/or feature information of first transmission data; and determining a time length of a first timer based on the feature information of the first air interface format and/or the feature information of the first transmission data, where the first timer is used to indicate that monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) is not required within the time length of the first timer.

    Abstract: A communication method and apparatus is provided, to properly schedule retransmission of an uplink resource in a scenario in which uplink resources overlap in time domain. The method includes: determining, by a terminal, that a priority of a first uplink resource is higher than a priority of a second uplink resource in the first uplink resource and the second uplink resource that have an overlapping part in time domain; and when determining to send a signal by using the first uplink resource on the overlapping part, indicating, by the terminal to a network device, whether a MAC PDU is formed for the second uplink resource or whether data is stored in a corresponding buffer for the second uplink resource.

The access network device determines a second access network device based on a current location of a terminal device and network access planning information, where the network access planning information has an identifier of a cell on a movement path of the terminal device, sends a handover request message to the second access network device, the handover request message having a context of the terminal device and the network access planning information, receives handover configuration information used for searching and selecting a cell of the second access network device, and includes an identifier of the cell that belongs to the second access network device and that is in the network access planning information, and sends the handover configuration information to the terminal device.

    Abstract: A data integrity protection method and apparatus in a network environment are described. A terminal device obtains an integrity protection algorithm and a key corresponding to a session or a flow, and a DRB corresponding to the session. The terminal device performs, by using the integrity protection algorithm and the key corresponding to the session, integrity protection on data of the DRB corresponding to the session or the flow, where one session includes a plurality of flows. Different integrity protection algorithms and keys can be used for different sessions, and different integrity protection algorithms and keys can also be used for different flows. In this way, integrity protection is more flexible and meets security requirements of a same user for different services.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a communication method used for random access, including: receiving, by a terminal, random access preamble information sent by a base station; and before sending random access to the base station based on the random access preamble information, receiving, by the terminal, a random access response sent by the base station, where the random access response includes an uplink asynchronous hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ process identifier, and the uplink asynchronous HARQ process identifier is used by the terminal to send uplink data to the base station. Compared with the prior art, the communication method provided in the embodiments of the present invention can ensure to some extent that uplink data is transmitted timely and can effectively improve uplink data transmission reliability.

    Abstract: A multimedia broadcast multicast communication method, an apparatus, and a system are provided. The method includes: receiving, by a base station, first indication information at a first time, where the first indication information is used to indicate that transmitting service data in a multimedia broadcast multicast service MBSFN manner is to be suspended; and sending, by the base station, second indication information to user equipment UE according to the first indication information, so that the UE suspends, at a second time according to the second indication information, receiving the service data in the MBSFN manner. The first time is earlier than the second time, and duration between the first time and the second time is less than a multicast control channel MCCH modification period. The user equipment is notified in a more timely manner to suspend transmitting the service data in the MBSFN manner.

    Abstract: A method for reporting a channel status and a device are disclosed. A user equipment UE uses M cells to transmit data, and the method includes: transmitting, by the base station, configuration signaling to the UE, where the configuration signaling includes a reporting period of channel state information CSI of N cells in the M cells; transmitting, by the base station, channel status request signaling to the UE, where the channel status request signaling is used to instruct the UE to report the CSI of the N cells; and receiving, by the base station, CSI of a cell that is in the N cells and that is managed by the base station, where the CSI is transmitted by the UE according to the reporting period. A corresponding base station and a corresponding user equipment are further disclosed.
