    摘要: A thermally activating device includes: a conveyor roller 56 situated rearward of a thermal head 51 and a platen roller 52 and adapted to convey a heat-sensitive adhesive sheet 21 that has been thermally activated while passing the heat-sensitive adhesive sheet 21 over an upper side thereof; and driving means for rotationally driving this conveyor roller 56, in which the side of the conveyor roller 56 over which the heat-sensitive adhesive sheet 21 passes is formed as a space larger than the thickness of the adhesive sheet 21, and drive force is transmitted to the heat-sensitive adhesive sheet 21 from the lower surface side thereof by rotationally driving the conveyor roller 56, thereby discharging the heat-sensitive adhesive sheet 21 to the outside of the device. The conveyor roller 56 is configured such that a part of the roller outer circumference thereof is offset by 0.3 mm or more to the platen roller 52 side from a reference plane H obtained by extending a head surface of the thermal head 51.

    摘要: A front tension roller transports a recording paper applying a predetermined tension to the recording paper recorded by a thermal head. The recording paper having passed the front tension is transported to a cutter by a paper discharge roller. When the paper discharge roller stops rotating for the cutter to cut the recording paper, a curl of the recording paper is generated decreasing the front tension, between the front tension roller and the paper discharge roller. The torque of the tension roller is increased while the paper discharge roller stops rotating. A dancer roller disposed between the tension roller and the paper discharge roller absorbs a part of reactive force caused by the curl.

    摘要: A heated media deflector for an inkjet printer. The media deflector is located in a transition area between a horizontal printing plane and a vertical feeding path. The media deflector includes a plastic support portion and a sheet metal portion with a heating resistor attached to a bottom surface of the sheet metal portion. The sheet metal portion provides a guiding surface for guiding a media from a printing zone to the vertical feeding path. The sheet metal portion of the heated media deflector also radiates heat that dries excess water absorbed by the media during printing. The inkjet printer includes a controller for controlling the heating temperature of the heated media deflector. The heating temperature is set based on environmental conditions and print job parameters.

    摘要: An apparatus for printing on a continuous web of linerless tape defined by a print side for subsequent application to an article. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a support for a continuous web of linerless tape; an undriven platen roller located downstream of the support; a print head associated with the undriven platen roller, wherein the undriven platen roller directs the continuous web of linerless tape past the print head for printing on the print side thereof; and a driven roller positioned adjacent the platen roller and downstream of the print head for pulling the web of linerless tape from the platen roller. In another embodiment, the apparatus includes a support for a continuous web of linerless tape; a driven platen roller located downstream of the support; a print head associated with the platen roller, wherein the platen roller directs the continuous web of linerless tape past the print head for printing on the print side thereof; and a driven roller positioned adjacent the platen roller and downstream of the print head for pulling the web of linerless tape from the platen roller. Methods of printing indicia on a continuous web of linerless tape are also included.
