Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support management of network-configured sensing bandwidths in a wireless communication system. In particular aspects, a network configures a sensing bandwidth, and the sensing bandwidth configuration is signaled to a contending node. The contending node (e.g., a UE or a base station) performs a medium sensing procedure (e.g., a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure) using the signaled configuration of the sensing bandwidth. Aspects of this disclosure provide various techniques for signaling the configuration of the sensing bandwidth to the contending node.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for receiver-assisted channel access in shared radio frequency spectrum. A receiver, such as a user equipment (UE) may transmit a measurement report to a transmitter, such as an access network entity, that indicates channel occupancy as measured at the receiver. In some cases, the receiver may identify resources for signal measurement and reporting that are configured by the transmitter, and provide an interference measurement report based on the signal measurements. The interference measurement report may indicate whether a channel is occupied, or an occupancy level of the channel. Resources may be configured for multiple beams, with the interference measurement report including interference measurements for the multiple beams. Further, the signal resources may provide resources for a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, through signal resource sets that span multiple slots.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for multi-transmit receive point candidate identification are described. A base station may indicate, to a user equipment (UE), one or more measurements to be performed on multiple transmit receive points (TRPs) for determination of TRP candidates for communications between the UE and the base station. The UE may perform the measurements on each of the TRPs, and transmit a report to the base station that is based on the measurements. The report may be associated with the TRP candidates. The base station may select one or more of the TRP candidates for communications with the UE, and may indicate the selected TRP candidates to the UE.

Abstract: Aspects directed towards communications for random access procedures are disclosed. In one example, a first beam and a second beam may be available for communications between a scheduled entity and a scheduling entity. The scheduling entity may send, and the scheduled entity may receive, a message 1 transmission for a random access procedure on the first beam. The scheduled entity may open a random access response (RAR) window to monitor for a message 2 transmission according to a predetermined sequence designating whether to monitor the first beam, the second beam, or some combination thereof. The scheduling entity may send, and the scheduled entity may receive, the message 2 transmission on the first beam or the second beam as designated by the predetermined sequence. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently identifying a receive beam for performing a listen before talk (LBT) procedure in an attempt to gain access to a transmission opportunity (TxOP) in a shared radio frequency spectrum. In particular, a wireless device may select a receive beam that corresponds to one or more transmit beams to be used in a TxOP to perform an LBT procedure in an attempt to gain access to the TxOP. In one example, the wireless device may select a receive beam for performing an LBT procedure based on the energy of each of the transmit beams to be used in a TxOP. In another example, the wireless device may select a receive beam for performing an LBT procedure if the receive beam is quasi co-located with each of the transmit beams to be used in a TxOP.
