    Abstract: Systems and methods for wireless communication include a user equipment (UE) and a base station, wherein the UE transmits additional channel state information (A-CSI), along with ACK/NACK (or “A/N”) reporting to the base station in a soft A/N payload. The A/N reporting is responsive to downlink control information (DCI) grants in a downlink transmission from the base station. The A-CSI reporting is responsive one or more DCIs which include a CSI trigger. Even if one or more DCIs with CSI triggers are missed in the downlink transmission, the UE is designed to detect whether there may be any missing DCIs with CSI triggers and provide A-CSI reporting in the soft A/N payload based on this detection.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control message that schedules a downlink signal on a second carrier for the UE. The UE may determine a transmission scheme of a plurality of transmission schemes based at least in part on the first carrier, the second carrier, and a second transmission reception point scheduled for transmission of the downlink signal. The UE may determine a delay between the downlink control message and the downlink signal based at least in part on the transmission scheme and receive the downlink signal via the second carrier in accordance with the determined delay.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may receive a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) grant of initial resources for receiving a transmission, receive, in a group control channel, a resource allocation for additional resources for receiving the transmission, determine resources for receiving the transmission based on the resource allocation and the SPS grant, and receive the transmission on the determined resources. A base station may transmit a SPS grant for scheduling a transmission on a set of resources, receive a feedback report from a user equipment (UE) indicating the UE requires additional resources for receiving the transmission, generate, based at least on the UE requiring the additional resources, a resource allocation for scheduling the additional resources for the UE, transmit the resource allocation in a group control channel, and transmit the transmission on the set of resources and the additional resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently scheduling downlink data transmissions and flow control feedback for the downlink data transmissions to allow for efficient pipelining at a user equipment (UE). In one aspect, a UE and a base station may follow preconfigured rules for facilitating downlink data transmissions while avoiding confusion (e.g., confusion due to being scheduled to report flow control feedback for downlink data transmissions in a different order from which the downlink data transmissions are received). In another aspect, the UE may be configured to report flow control feedback for a downlink data transmission in a next uplink control channel to avoid confusion (e.g., in the event that the UE misses downlink control information (DCI) used to indicate the timing for reporting flow control feedback for a downlink data transmission).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that may enable a user equipment (UE) or base station (e.g., a next-generation NodeB (gNB)) to identify that a waveform to be generated for a scheduled transmission is formed by one or more reference signal symbols and one or more data symbols. The waveform may be contained between a beginning boundary and an ending boundary with a duration equal to a total length of the one or more reference signal symbols and the one or more data symbols. The UE, base station, or both may generate the waveform by inserting a guard internal in the one or more reference signal symbols and the one or more data symbols to enable a receiver to perform a fast Fourier transform (FFT) for each of the one or more reference signal symbols and the one or more data symbols.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit downlink control information (DCI) to a user equipment (UE) indicating a joint field for at least a first component carrier (CC) and a second CC of a carrier aggregation configuration. For example, the joint field may include a rate matching (RM) indication for the first CC and the second CC, a zero power channel state information reference signal (ZP-CSI-RS) indication for the first CC and the second CC, or both. In some cases, the RM indication may include a common RM resource (RMR) configuration applicable for both the first CC and the second CC or per-CC RMR configurations that indicate separate RMRs for each of the CCs. Additionally, the ZP-CSI-RS indication may include a set identifier that indicates a resource set for ZP-CSI-RS resources for both the first CC and the second CC.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish a connection, with base station, over a first and second component carrier and may monitor a search space configured for scheduling multiple component carriers. In some cases, the UE may be configured to monitor a search space allocated for a virtual component carrier associated with scheduling multiple component carriers, or the UE may be configured to monitor for a subset of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates in search spaces associated with the first and second component carriers, where the subset of PDCCH candidates may be allocated for multi-component carrier scheduling. The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) that schedules a set of data transmissions over the first and second component carriers and the UE may perform or receive the set of data transmissions over the first and second component carrier.
