Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be receive a grant configuration including multiple set of parameters, and the UE may select a set of parameters from the configured grant based on a channel condition. In some examples, the UE may be configured to signal to a network (e.g., a base station) the selected set of parameters and their corresponding parameter values. For example, the UE may be configured to signal the selected set of parameters over semi-static signaling (e.g., radio resource control (RRC) messaging) or dynamic signaling (e.g., medium access control-control element (MAC-CE) messaging, uplink control information (UCI) messaging, or the like). By configuring the UE with multiple set of parameters, the UE may adapt to changing channel conditions, which may provide higher reliability and lower latency for wireless communications, as well as reduce power consumption for the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may monitor synchronization signal resources, each synchronization signal resources associated with a beam, and may select a preferred beam based on the monitoring. The UE may transmit an uplink random access message (e.g., message 3 of a four-step random access message, message A of a two-step random access procedure, or a negative acknowledgement (NACK) message requesting retransmission of a random access message) including beam information (e.g., one or more beam indices, channel quality information, or channel state information) to a base station. In response, the base station may transmit a downlink random access message using a different beam (e.g., a new preferred beam). The UE may establish a connection with the base station based on the completed random access procedure.

The UE may transmit an indication that the multiple candidate beams satisfy the channel quality threshold. For example, the UE may transmit a single random access message on a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource associated with multiple candidate beams, or may transmit multiple random access messages, each one on a different PRACH resource associated with a different candidate beam. The UE may receive an indication of one of the candidate beams from the base station and may establish a connection with the base station using the indicated candidate beam.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a UE capability associated with reference signal reporting by the UE. The UE may receive, from the base station, a data packet and an indication of a mode for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback reporting based on the UE capability. The UE may determine that a slot includes first resources for transmitting a sounding reference signal (SRS) and second resources for transmitting HARQ feedback for the data packet. The UE may transmit, to the base station during the slot and based on the indication of the mode for HARQ feedback reporting, the HARQ feedback and one or more of the SRS or CSI associated with the HARQ feedback.

Abstract: In a positioning session for a user equipment (UE), one or more base stations may receive and derive positioning measurements from uplink (UL) transmission from the UE that include a physical resource block (PRB) interlaced waveform based on at least one of interlaced physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource blocks, interlaced physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) RBs resource blocks, interlaced sounding reference signal (SRS), interlaced uplink (UL) positioning reference signal (PRS), or a combination thereof. The interlaced waveforms span a greater wavelength than if interlacing were not used, and an enhanced accuracy requirement for the positioning measurements based on the span may be used for the positioning measurements. The UL interlaced PRBs may be used for UL positioning measurements for combined downlink (DL) and UL positioning measurements. The base station may report the positioning measurements along with the channel used and enhanced accuracy requirements to a location server for positioning.

A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station using a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration in a component carrier (CC). The UE may transmit an indication of a capability of the UE to operate in a full duplex (e.g., frequency division duplex (FDD)) mode on a single carrier in an unpaired frequency spectrum based on a first BWP configuration. The UE may receive an indication of a second BWP configuration for one or more slots based on transmitting the indication of the capability of the UE, the second BWP configuration including a configuration associated with an uplink BWP and a downlink BWP. The UE and the base station may then communicate according to the second BWP configuration in the one or more slots of the set of slots based on receiving the indication of the second BWP configuration.

A base station may configure and transmit one or more SSBs of second type that are smaller than SSBs of a first type. For instance, SSBs of a second type may include a first subset of signals and may exclude a second subset of the signals that are included in an SSB of the first type. An SSB of the second type may be transmitted in an active bandwidth region used for communications between a user equipment (UE) and the base station. The UE may receive an SSB of the second type in an active bandwidth region, may perform one or more measurements using the SSB of the second type, and may perform one or more management procedures.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support resolution of uplink (UL) transmission overlap of communication types having different priorities. In some implementations, a method of wireless communication includes determining, at a user equipment (UE), that a first scheduled UL transmission corresponding to a first communication type having a first priority overlaps with a second scheduled UL transmission corresponding to a second communication type having a second priority. The first priority is higher than the second priority. The method also includes multiplexing at least a portion of the first scheduled UL transmission with at least a portion of the second scheduled UL transmission to generate a third UL transmission. The method further includes transmitting, from the UE to a base station, the third UL transmission. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

The first device may determine the phase-change pattern from the signal. The first device may transmit a message to the second wireless communications device, wherein at least one of a content or a transmission property of the message is based at least in part on the phase-change pattern.
