Abstract: This application provides a method for sending a trigger frame in a wireless local area network. The method includes: An AP generates a physical layer protocol data unit PPDU, where the PPDU includes one or more trigger frames, each trigger frame corresponds to one frequency segment, and each trigger frame is used to schedule at least one or more stations parking on the corresponding frequency segment; and sends the one or more trigger frames in the PPDU, where each trigger frame is carried in the corresponding frequency segment.

Abstract: This application discloses a data transmission method that includes: scrambling to-be-transmitted data, to obtain scrambled data; and sending the scrambled data to a receive device. The initialization bits of a scrambler used to scramble the data include a first bit sequence and a second bit sequence. The first bit sequence is carried in a service field of the to-be-transmitted data, the second bit sequence reuses a bit in a signal field of a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU), and the quantity of the initialization bits is equal to the order of the scrambler. In embodiments of this application, when the transmit device and the receive device use the scrambler with a higher order than that in the conventional technology, the initialization bits of the scrambler are based on bits in an existing service field used for data scrambling and reused bits in some signal fields.

Abstract: This application provides a bandwidth indication method applied in a wireless local area network supporting the 802.11be standard and a communication apparatus. The method includes: An access point generates a physical layer protocol data unit PPDU, where a transmission bandwidth of the PPDU is divided into a plurality of segments, the PPDU includes a universal signal U-SIG field carried on a segment, the U-SIG field includes a bandwidth field, and the bandwidth field indicates a channel bandwidth of a resource unit allocated to a station parked in the segment; and the access point sends the PPDU to the station. The method in this application can be used to reduce signaling overheads of PPDU transmission, and resources across segments can be allocated to the station, so that resources can be more flexibly allocated.

Abstract: A channel state information measurement method includes receiving, by a terminal device, configuration information from a network device. The configuration information includes first indication information and second indication information. The first indication information indicates K channel measurement signal resources, K is greater than or equal to 2, the second indication information indicates the terminal device is to measure aggregated channel state information (CSI) based on N channel measurement signal resources, and N is less than or equal to K. The method also includes measuring, by the terminal device, the N channel measurement signal resources based on the configuration information. The method further includes obtaining, by the terminal device, the aggregated CSI through calculation based on N measurement results. The aggregated CSI is CSI of M antenna ports, and M is a sum of quantities of antenna ports of the N channel measurement signal resources.
