Abstract: This application provides a communication method and an apparatus for Ethernet data. Embodiments of this application provide a new radio network temporary identifier RNTI (for example, a first RNTI), and the first RNTI is an RNTI for an Ethernet packet. The method includes: A terminal device receives, from a network device, downlink control information DCI scrambled by using the first RNTI, and receives the Ethernet packet from the network device on a time-frequency resource indicated by the DCI.

Abstract: The present application provides a data transmission method in a wireless communication system. A first security parameter indication is introduced into uplink data on a first bearer, and a base station can determine, based on the first security parameter indication in the uplink data, whether first security processing of the uplink data is performed using a first security parameter or a second security parameter, so as to select a corresponding security parameter to perform second security processing; and a second security parameter indication is introduced into downlink data, and UE can determine, based on the second security parameter indication in the downlink data, whether the first security processing of the data is performed using the first security parameter or the second security parameter, so as to select a corresponding security parameter to perform the second security processing.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a cell access method and a device, to provide a network slice service area identifier and network slice configuration information for a terminal device, so that the terminal device accesses a target cell. The method in the embodiments of this application includes: sending, by a serving access network device to a target access network device, a node addition request message to request the target access network device to allocate a resource for multi-connection operation for a terminal device; sending, by the target access network device to the serving network device, the an addition request acknowledgement message; sending, by the serving access network device, a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message to the terminal device; receiving, by the serving access network device, a RRC connection reconfiguration complete message from the terminal device; and sending, by the serving access network device, a message indicating that the terminal device has completed the radio resource configuration.

Abstract: A communication method and a communications apparatus, where the method includes: first determining, by a terminal, a first radio access technology for establishing a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection; and then determining, by the terminal based on access information, a first cause value for establishing the RRC connection, where the first cause value is a cause value of the first radio access technology, and the access information includes at least one of an access identity (AI), an access category (AC), or a second cause value of a second radio access technology. After the terminal determines the first cause value, the terminal sends a first message used to establish the RRC connection, and uses the first message to carry the first cause value.

Abstract: This application discloses a communication method and a communications apparatus, and relates to the communications field, to reduce power consumption of a terminal. The communication method includes: determining, by a first network device, first information, where the first information includes type information of a synchronization signal block, and the type information of the synchronization signal block is used to indicate that the synchronization signal block is a cell-defined synchronization signal block or a non-cell-defined synchronization signal block; and sending, by the first network device, the first information to a second network device. Embodiments of this application are applied to an indication of the cell-defined or non-cell-defined synchronization signal block.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method and a communications system. The method includes: receiving, by a second network device from a first network device, information used to indicate that a terminal initiates a radio access network notification area update (RNAU), generating, by the second network device based on the information, a radio resource control release message on which security protection has been performed, and sending, to the first network device, the radio resource control release message on which the security protection has been performed.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a communication method and a communications apparatus. A source base station instructs a terminal to hand over from the source base station to a target base station, and sends, to the terminal, configuration information of a second connection required for communication between the terminal and the target base station. The terminal maintains a first connection for communication with the source base station, and establishes the second connection for communication with the target base station based on the configuration information of the second connection. The solutions in the embodiments of this application reduces latency in a handover process.
