    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may schedule a plurality of repetitions of at least one system information block for a plurality of dwells within a hop cycle, wherein a subset of dwells, of the plurality of dwells within the hop cycle, includes a resource allocated for a respective portion of a corresponding repetition of a corresponding system information block of the plurality of repetitions of the at least one system information block. The base station may transmit, during the subset of dwells of the plurality of dwells within the hop cycle, the respective portion of the corresponding repetition of the corresponding system information block or another signal punctured into the respective portion of the corresponding repetition of the corresponding system information block.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described for synchronization for wideband coverage enhancement. A user equipment (UE) may receive a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) in a subframe. In one example, the SSS may be received in a symbol that is after a symbol in which the PSS is received, and after a set of symbols in which a set of other synchronization signals is received. In another example, the PSS may be received in each of a first plurality of consecutive symbols, and the SSS may be received in each of a second plurality of consecutive symbols, wherein the second plurality of consecutive symbols is after the first plurality of consecutive symbols within the subframe. The UE may synchronize with a base station based at least in part on the PSS and the SSS. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for wireless communication in the unlicensed spectrum between an eNB and UEs having different bandwidths, e.g., between a narrowband UE and a wideband eNB. A user equipment apparatus segments an uplink duration in each frame into multiple transmission units for each frequency, wherein a frame comprises an integer number of the transmission units. The apparatus transmits uplink communication based on the multiple transmission units, wherein each transmission unit comprises at least one on period and at least one off period corresponding to each of a plurality of frequencies, wherein during an on period the UE transmits uplink communication on the corresponding frequency and during an off period the UE refrains from transmitting uplink communication on the corresponding frequency. Each transmission unit may comprise multiple on periods and multiple off periods. The on/off periods may be configured by a base station or specified for each frame type.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) performs a first channel access procedure for accessing a channel occupancy time (COT) within the sidelink channel. The UE transmits a second-stage sidelink control information (SCI) message (SCI-2) including COT sharing information (COT-SI) for sharing the COT with other devices, and transmits a first sidelink message within a first portion of the COT. The UE identifies a second sidelink message that is expected to be received within a second portion of the COT, and performs a second channel access procedure for accessing the COT after identifying the second sidelink message based on the second sidelink message being expected within a set of resources reserved for the second sidelink message. Subsequently, the UE transmits a third sidelink message within a third portion of the COT based on a completion of the second channel access procedure.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for determining whether to drop an additional signal at an edge interlaced resource block (IRB) of a common interlace. A user equipment (UE) may transmit additional signals via IRBs of the common interlace to improve an occupied channel bandwidth (OCB) of a feedback transmission and may drop one or more additional signals that are proximate (e.g., in frequency) to feedback indications of a configured interlace. To ensure the OCB of the transmission satisfies an OCB threshold, the UE may determine whether to drop an additional signal at an edge IRB, despite the edge IRB being proximate to a feedback indication, according to one or more rules that may be specific to edge IRBs.
