Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the procedure for measurements without gaps and with interruptions as well as the related parameters. A terminal device determines at least one parameter of at least one interruption window, wherein an interruption of data communication between a network device and the terminal device is allowed to occur during the at least one interruption window. The terminal device performs one or more measurements during a measurement window associated with the at least one interruption window. It is possible to provide capabilities of the terminal device on interruptions.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus according to the present invention comprises receiving a configuration for expedited measurement reporting. The configuration provides an indication to a user equipment to perform measurements related to an expedited measurement reporting carrier or cell as part of connection setup procedure and/or for a period of time while the user equipment is in connected mode. The terminal device receives a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order in a beam which is selected in association with the beam information. In this way, a proper beam can be determined to transmit PDCCH order and it can also reduce delay.
