Abstract: A pouch sealing method for a pouch-type secondary battery includes performing degassing sealing of a pouch, performing a formation process, performing a degassing process, and performing a main sealing process. The method can ensure excellent sealing and insulating properties, while maximally reducing the ratio of dead space due to the sealing portion of the pouch-type secondary battery. A sealing tool used in the method is also disclosed.

Abstract: An energy storage cell includes an electrode assembly, a cell case housing the electrode assembly, and an electrolyte solution contained in the cell case. The electrode assembly includes a wound assembly obtained by winding a positive electrode sheet and a negative electrode sheet with a separator therebetween, a first tape attached to one end in an axial direction of the wound assembly, and a second tape attached to the other end in the axial direction of the wound assembly. A force of fixing the wound assembly by the first tape is smaller than a force of fixing the wound assembly by the second tape.

Abstract: A battery includes a power generating element containing a solid electrolyte, and a first member in contact with a principal surface of the power generating element. Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing an electrode includes a plurality of guide rollers configured to transport an electrode plate. The apparatus detects a defect on the electrode plate being transported and cut, upon detecting the defect, the electrode plate at a starting part of the defect on the electrode plate to form a defective electrode plate. The apparatus also includes a first taping part connecting the defective electrode plate to a defective electrode roll. The apparatus cuts the electrode plate at an ending part of the defect on the electrode plate to form a normal electrode plate. The apparatus connects the normal electrode plate separated from the defective electrode plate in the second cutting part with a normal electrode roll. The apparatus winds and transports the normal electrode roll.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing an electrode-separator assembly for a battery cell.
