Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to systems and methods for providing privacy for information. In one non-limiting embodiment, a system includes an environment monitoring component configured to monitor an aspect of an environment; and a privacy component configured to: determine whether factors associated with the environment are triggered; and obscure access or provide access to data or a program associated with the factors based on determining that the factors are triggered. Factors can be based on the time and the location or network connectivity of a device associated with the system, the detected presence or absence of an authorized person other than the user logged into the device or the privacy state of the user logged into the device. Motion detectors, cameras, biometric sensors and other devices can be employed in the determination of whether to provide or obscure access to the information.

Abstract: A system and method are described for performing authentication on a computing device using a mobile device connected over an audio channel to the computing device, in scenarios where smart card authentication may have been traditionally used. An application executing on the computing device receives a request from a user, which request requires authentication of the user before being allowed by the application. An audio transmission containing encoded data including information authenticating the user is received at the computing device from the user's mobile device via a microphone. The audio transmission is decoded and the information authenticating the user is extracted. The information authenticating the user is verified and the request is allowed in the application.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for providing financial details from a mobile device of a user for use in a transaction. The method is performed on a mobile device of the user and includes the steps of generating, on a token generating component, a session-specific token by applying an algorithm requiring a dynamic key; providing financial details for use in a transaction; incorporating the session-specific token and the financial details into a modified form the financial details; and transferring the modified form of the financial details from the mobile device to initiate the transaction. A corresponding method and system for validating financial details received, at a server of an issuing authority, is also provided.

Abstract: A multi-tenant, RFID system that may be Cloud based or run on a local area network (LAN) for distributed RFID devices and RFID applications. RFID devices initiate communication to a Cloud or LAN network over to send events and receive commands. RFID applications can receive RFID tag data, device health, and requested and derived events from the RFID system to automatically run processes based on the provided data. Applications manage RFID devices and settings in the RFID system using command and configuration interfaces.

Abstract: More effective authentication protocols for provisioning electronic devices are provided. An approval signal responsive to a provisioning request may be transmitted in real-time, such as under four seconds in certain embodiments. An authentication score for the provisioning request may be calculated even after transmitting the approval signal. In certain embodiments, information gathered from the successful provisioning of a device can be used in the authentication scoring process. Authentication scores deemed to fall below a requisite threshold may be used to suspend the provisioned device, therefore, limit the ability for the device to utilize the account, however, without withdrawing the approval or granted digital token. Certain implementations may negate the need to transmit further approvals or confirmations following determining an authentication score met a threshold.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for proximity-based access. In some implementations, an electronic device receives a first message over a network over a first communication channel. In response to receiving the first message, the electronic device increases a frequency that the electronic device scans for messages over the second communication channel. After increasing the frequency that the electronic device scans for messages over the second communication channel, the electronic device receives a second message from a secured resource over the second communication channel. The electronic device determines that the electronic device is located within a predetermined level of proximity to the secured resource, and in response, sends authentication data to the secured resource over the second communication channel.

A processing device is configured to execute determination processing for determining whether the person is walking based on the acceleration signal. A control device is configured to control transmission of a radio signal, and to control an operation of a controlled device based on a result of the determination processing and a result of authentication processing for authenticating, by way of the mobile device, the person as a user of the controlled device. The determination processing is activated in response to reception of the radio signal by the mobile device.
