    摘要: A flange to be assembled to an end portion of a duct member includes a plurality of pre-fabricated fastener entry areas disposed in an inner wall member, and a plurality of first fastener indicators disposed on an outer wall member, wherein the pre-fabricated fastener entry areas are substantially aligned with the first fastener indicators, each of the plurality of first fastener indicators being sized to guide and each corresponding fastener entry areas being sized to receive a self-tapping screw fastener there through to fasten the wall members to the end portion of the duct member. The fastener entry areas and correspondingly aligned fastener indicators, respectively, may be spaced apart such that the fasteners can be inserted at regular intervals along the length of the flange and the length of the end of the duct member.

    摘要: A stacked package of angle plates for use in association with a device for assembling individual ones of said angle plates into receptive flanges of HVAC duct sections is disclosed. A strap zone is defined as a portion of the stacked package located proximate to the apex of each of the angle plates, preferably from the apex to a point approximately 25% along the length of each of the legs. A single tensioned strap is placed extending around each of the angle plates in the stacked package and is located within the strap zone. The strap exerts a sufficient amount of tension to restrain each of the angle plates within the stacked package, and is preferably four foot-pounds.

    摘要: A duct structure (50), includes lengths of square/rectangular duct (52) manufactured by performing spiral duct in round cross-section (51) and then transforming the round cross-section into square and rectangular cross-sections utilizing expandable die structures (58). The duct (52) may be connected together end to end by flanged connectors (54) formed from strip stock (220), that is notched at locations that correspond to the corners of the formed flange connector. The cross-sectional profile of the flanged connector is then formed by roll forming and/or bending and/or other techniques. Thereafter, the strip stock is bent at its notched locations to define the corners (230) of the flange connector (54) and then the free ends of the strip stock are fixed together.

The slots each include an aperture and first and second tapered surfaces. The system further includes a connector comprising a coupling element with a support and first and second coupling members which extend in substantially parallel relation therefrom, and a slide element moveable between a first, unlocked position in which the connector is movable relative to the fluid-conducting components and a second, locked position in which the slide element engages the fluid-conducting components.     摘要: A method of inserting a corner member into channel-shaped flanges of a duct. The corner member has first and second legs. The duct includes longitudinally extending duct panels. The channel-shaped flanges of the duct extend laterally from at least one end of the duct channels. The method comprises supporting the corner member, moving the duct toward the corner member into a position in which adjacent flanges of the duct are in registration with the legs of the corner member, and pressing the corner member into the duct flanges.
