Abstract:
There is described a canopy system comprising two or more parallel elongated rods, one or more canopy pieces having two parallel edges, two or more elongated bars connected to each of the two or more parallel elongated rods and attached to each of the two parallel edges of the one or more canopy pieces, and at least one connection mechanism attached to each of the elongated rods having a connector that is capable of being suspended from a support. The elongated rods may include at least one lower cavity having two channels each configured to detachably and slidably receive each of the elongated bars. The lower cavity may have a groove that is configured to detachably and slidably receive an accessory. The elongated rods each may include at least one upper cavity configured to detachably and slidably receive each connection mechanism and a second accessory.
Abstract:
A retractable sun shade, comprising at least one fabric section affixed to a boom, the boom supported and slideably engaged to a track at an intermediate portion of the boom, the track supported by a frame, and at least one flexible drawing element affixed to the boom at the intermediate portion, for drawing the boom in a first direction along the track to extend the sun shade and for drawing the boom in an opposite direction along the track to retract the sun shade.
Abstract:
A sun shading apparatus includes a supporting frame, a shading frame and a shading fabric. The supporting frame includes first and second leg frames, and a supporting bar extended between the first and the second leg frames, while the second leg frame has third and fourth mounting slots. The shading frame includes first and second coupling joints each having a V-shaped cross section, first and second frame members, and a reinforcing frame, wherein the supporting bar is extended between the first and second coupling joints. The first and the second frame member are coupled with the first coupling joint and the second coupling joint respectively, while the reinforcing frame is extended between the first and second frame member and the supporting bar to form a support platform. The shading fabric is detachably mounted on the support platform for shading adverse weather condition.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (22, 42, 72) for assisting the installation and de-installation of an awning (19) at an awning rail (16); the device (22, 42, 72) has a connecting element (40, 73-75) for connection with the awning (19) and a motor (38, 62) for moving the edge of the awning (19) along the awning rail (16); the device (22, 42, 72) comprises a sliding body (25, 45) for sliding the device (22, 42, 72) along the awning rail (16) in a sliding direction; the motor (38, 62) is located on or in the sliding body (25, 45); a driving wheel (26, 46) is disposed on the sliding body (25, 45) and is driven by the motor (38, 62) and arranged so that it contacts the outside of the awning rail (16) when the device (22, 42, 72) is placed on the awning rail (16).
Abstract:
A retractable awning that transforms automatically into a gable or arch is disclosed. The awning sheet extends using articulated hinged arms. A first end of each articulated arm is hingedly affixed to a stationary surface. The two articulated arms provide vertical support while extending the awning sheet. A swiveling hinge interface connects the ends of the articulated arms and the front support member. The front support member is a flexible spring member and resiliently arches the awning when extending. In another embodiment, the front support member is a left member and right member connected by a hinge and a spring. The spring resiliently urges the left and right member into a gabled configuration, thereby gabling the awning. When retracting the awning, the ends of the front support member and awning sheet are pulled outwards, thereby counteracting the naturally gabled or arched configuration.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a solar protection installation (1) comprising at least one mobile window blind (2), at least one drive means (3), at least one control unit (4), and at least one wind sensor (5). The wind sensor (5) is used to detect overload caused by the wind on the window blind, by the detection of variations in tension and/or pressure leading to deformations of the window blind. The wind sensor is provided on and/or in the window blind (2).

Abstract:
A deck covering apparatus for selectively covering a portion of a deck from the elements. The deck covering apparatus includes a pair of support assemblies each having a base portion and a rail member. The base portion is designed for coupling to a support structure. The rail member is coupled to the base portion whereby the base portion of each of the support assemblies is designed for supporting the rail member of an associated one of the support assemblies in a spaced relationship above the deck. Each of a plurality of panel assemblies is slidably coupled to the rail member of each of the support assemblies. Each of the panel assemblies is slidably positionable along a length of the rail member of each of the support assemblies whereby each of the panel assemblies are designed for covering a portion of the deck from the elements.
Abstract:
A manageable awning system consisting of a headbar adapted for mounting on a building or the like for support and connected by rafters to a frontbar adapted for mounting on posts and a pliable awning banner with a conformable semi-rigid plastic strip attached to its rearward and forward edges for easy insertion into and removal from spanwise channels in the headbar and the drawbar which is mounted on the frontbar through connecting clips drawn down by threaded nuts and bolts to pull the banner tight and smooth; the semi-rigid plastic edge strips of the banner and the fabric flaps attaching it to the rafters are formed to break away under heavy wind loads.
Abstract:
This invention is an improved screen means for greenhouses and similar structures. Cam locks are provided preferably on both the upper and lower edges of the screen means, and are mounted on strong backs which in turn are secured to the structure itself. This arrangement eliminates loose spots, wrinkling, wind flapping, and similar problems that are common to screen means of this general type.
