Abstract: The invention provides a synthetic combination of a crop and at least one fungal endophyte, wherein the crop is a host plant of the endophyte. Provided are also methods and compositions for producing such synthetic combinations. The endophyte reproduces and enhances the agronomic characteristics of the crop. Methods for inoculating the host plant with the endophyte, for propagating the host-endophyte combination, and for detecting the presence of the endophyte and of its metabolites within a host plant are also described.

Abstract: This invention consists of a consortium of plant-growth promoting microorganisms including Pseudomonas stutzeri, Pseudomonas denitrificans, Pseudomonas resinovorans, Pseudomonas brassicacearum, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Shimwellia blattae and Klebsiella oxytoca. The bacterial consortium along with a vehicle suitable for agricultural application, form a biofertilizer useful to enhance agricultural yield when applied to cultivation plants. The biofertilizer described present a long shelf life and preserve a high cell density along the time.

Abstract: A mosquito control product includes a two part composition including separated wet and dry ingredients. The wet and dry ingredients include active and inert ingredients. The active ingredients include thyme, rosemary, cinnamon, and citronella oil and the inert ingredients include water, sugar, yeast, wheat flour, sodium bicarbonate, and licorice extract. When the wet and dry ingredients are combined they form a carrier agent contacting a mosquito with the active ingredients wherein the mosquito is discouraged from seeking a blood meal.

Abstract: The present invention provides a Dendrobium officinale (D. officinale) endophytic fungus strain and an extracellular polysaccharide produced thereby as well as an extraction method and application of the extracellular polysaccharide. The extraction process of the extracellular polysaccharide includes: activating a strain; culturing seed liquid; fermenting and culturing; filtering the fermented liquid under vacuum; concentrated the filtrate under vacuum; conducting alcohol precipitation on the concentrated liquid; precipitating and centrifuging; dialyzing after dissolving the precipitates in water; freezing and drying the dialysate under vacuum; and obtaining the extracellular polysaccharide. The D. officinale endophytic fungus strain belongs to Fusarium solani, and the extracellular polysaccharide produced thereby has inhibitory effects on Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella ssp., and Bacillus subtilis.
