Abstract: An offroad whip mount as disclosed includes a mounting element that may be secured to a standard mounting location on any suitable vehicle. A closure plate is secured to the mounting element using a tongue, sized and dimensioned to engage a corresponding groove in the mounting element and the closure plate is secured to the mounting element with a threaded fastener. The mounting element and the closure plate each have two corresponding half-cylindrical grooves that form two independent whip receptacles. The engaging tongue and groove combined with the threaded fastener serve to clamp one or two whips into the whip mount.

Abstract: A mount for being positioned on a rail and for receiving a fishing rod holder is provided. The mount includes a retaining member having a pair of spaced-apart walls that are interconnected on respective first ends by a connecting wall, the pair of spaced-apart walls defining a gap therebetween and a compression block selectively receivable within the gap of the retaining member and having a width that approximates a width of the rail. A fastener engages the compression block and extends from about respective second ends of each wall of the pair of spaced-apart walls and is configured such that tightening of the fastener deforms at least one wall of the pair of spaced-apart walls into engagement with the compression block, thereby providing an interference fit between the pair of spaced-apart walls of the retaining member and the rail.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a portable mountable fishing rod support system. The system may support a rod having a handle and a finger support above a fixed structure. The system may include a grip base, a vertical support, and a rod cradle. The base may include an L-shaped bracket, a vertical wall, fasteners securing the L-shaped bracket to the vertical wall, and a plunger for removably securing the base to the fixed structure. The vertical support may include a hollowed cylinder, a bolt, and a pin for adjustably securing the hollowed cylinder to the L-shaped bracket. The rod cradle may include a central opening to accept the handle and may have a finger notch to accept the finger support when the handle is inserted into the opening. Abstract: A strap on fishing rod rack comprising of fixed horizontal panels, tubular housing, straps and a fastening device. The rack straps around an ice cooler or other object and hold a plurality of fishing rods in an upright position. The device is removable and can be affixed without the need for screws or drilling making it useful for mounting to coolers and other fixtures that are unsuitable for other mounting applications. The rack includes horizontal panels on which vertical fishing rod support tubes are affixed. Individual horizontal panels may consist of two members, each with a channel and groove extending the length of the member. The members may be joined creating a channel along the inside of each horizontal panel. The rack includes straps. A strap slides inside the horizontal panel, in one end, and exits out the other. A stainless steel ratchet buckle is affixed on one end of each strap providing a simple but secure method to firmly attach the apparatus to the fixture.
