    摘要: The invention concerns micro-circuit arrangements in which two micro-circuits each consisting of an assembly of components and/or micro-strip conductors within individual compartments, are interconnected. In the arrangement provided by the invention the individual compartments have a common wall in which a gap is provided adjacent the ends of a micro-strip conductor in each micro-circuit and a bridge piece is provided to fit into the gap, which bridge piece consists of a block of dielectric material carrying a conductive member which connects with both micro-strip conductors adjacent the gap.

    摘要: A strip-line directional coupler is provided in which the volumetric size is reduced without a reduction in electrical characteristics. The input and output coupling lines are wound into separate spirals each having the same pitch so that they can be located at a fixed distance with respect to one another which is sufficiently close along their entire length to provide coupling of an input signal from the input coupling line to the output coupling line in the backwards direction. A first and second ground plane is located one on either side of and a small distance from each spirally wound input and output coupling line. A dielectric material is located between the input and output lines and between the ground planes and the input and output lines. The spirally wound input and output coupling lines provide improved electrical characteristics so as to enable a reduction of spacing of the first and second ground planes from either side of the spirally wound input and output coupling lines thereby further diminishing the volumetric size of the device into a small, flat package.

    摘要: The device comprises a first helix, a second helix and a stem structure interconnecting the first and second helices. The first helix of the device is inserted into a resonant cavity of a microwave spectrometer to couple the microwave magnetic field therein, via the stem structure, to the second helix mounted about a sample placed outside the cavity. After interaction of the electromagnetic field with the sample, the second helix reflects the electromagnetic field back into the cavity, via the stem structure and the first helix.

    摘要: A node of a radio frequency waveguide system can include a waveguide interface, a signal splitter, a power rectifier and conditioner, a communication filter, and a network processor. The waveguide interface is configured to communicate through a waveguide in the radio frequency waveguide system. The signal splitter is configured to split a radio frequency transmission received at the waveguide interface between a power path and a communications path within the node. The power rectifier and conditioner are configured to produce a conditioned power signal based on power received through the power path. The communication filter of the communications path is configured to produce a filtered communication signal. The network processor is powered by the conditioned power signal and configured to extract encoded information from the filtered communication signal.
