    摘要: An automatic inspection device for a corrugated paperboard machine includes comprises a position setting section for setting movable members to positions within moving ranges; a control section for driving each of the drive motors at a given rotational speed so as to allow a respective one of the movable members to be moved within a corresponding one of the moving ranges; a current detection section for detecting a drive current being supplied to each of the drive motors when the drive motor is driven at the given rotational speed; and a current determination section for determining whether the drive current of each of the drive motors exceeds a given threshold. The automatic inspection device is configured to, when the current determination section determines that the drive current of a specific one of the plurality of drive motors exceeds the given threshold, detecting that a defect occurs in the movable member.

    摘要: A method for automatically setting the rider roll/glue applicator roll gap for the single face web on a glue machine senses a forward drag that the single face web, operating at corrugator speed, exerts on the glue applicator roll, driven at an underspeed, after bringing the flute tips of the single face web into contact with the glue applicator roll by adjusting the position of the rider roll. Changes in forward drag exerted on the glue applicator roll are monitored and related directly to glue applicator roll drive current to provide a slight compression of the single face web between the rider roll and the glue applicator roll. Preferably, the glue applicator roll uses a regenerative drive and the target drive current command in a feedback control system to cause the gap to be adjusted to achieve the desired slight compression of the web flutes and to maintain the glue applicator roll under speed.

    摘要: A corrugator includes a separation sensor for sensing separation of a corrugated medium and liner of a corrugated paperboard. Sensing the separation, also known as blowout or fluff out, allows the corrugator to be controlled to prevent problems which arise when corrugated paperboard having such a separation continues downstream along the corrugator. Typically, the corrugator is operated to cease downstream movement of the paperboard while a faulty segment which includes the separation is removed and the problem causing the separation is fixed, thereby providing for subsequent production of corrugated paperboard which is properly glued.
