Abstract: A device for gripping a hollow body includes a freely-rotating shaft and a mandrel that is integral with the shaft. Abstract: A method for the fabrication of a container from a substantially tubular preform provided with an open end communicating with a cavity comprises the steps of positioning the preform within a mold that substantially defines a container such that the open end of the preform protrudes from the mold; providing an injector in sealed fluid communication with the open end of the preform which injects a quantity of liquid into the cavity of the preform, increasing the pressure within the cavity and inducing the preform to deform into the shape of the mold and form a container; and then reducing the pressure within the container to atmospheric pressure while maintaining sealed fluid communication between the injector and the open end. Using the method for fabricating and filling a beverage container.

Abstract: Method of blow moulding a container from a hollow, elongated parison of a thermoplastic material, wherein the method comprises: -arranging the parison in a closed moulding equipment comprising a moulding cavity and at least one aperture, wherein the at least one aperture provides an opening into the moulding cavity from outside the closed moulding equipment, wherein the circumference of the at least one aperture is larger than or equal to a circumference of the parison, such that a first section of the parison is arranged inside the moulding cavity, a second section of the parison is arranged within the at least one aperture and a third section of the parison is arranged outside the closed moulding equipment, -closing a shutter system around the third section of the parison, thereby pinching the parison and providing a closed volume inside the first and second sections of the parison, -arranging a blow conduit in fluid communication with the closed volume inside the second section of the parison, -blowing pressurised gas from the blow conduit into the first and the second section of the parison, thereby forming first and second blow moulded sections, wherein the first blow moulded section is the container, and -separating the second blow moulded section from the first blow moulded section, thereby providing an opening in the container.

Abstract: An injection device for injecting a pressurized liquid into the preform. The injection device includes a piston device having a piston body with a piston head arranged to reciprocate therein. The piston head cooperates with a sealing portion of the piston body to fluidicly isolate an inner chamber of the piston device. Abstract: A method of degasification of a carbonated beverage-filled container in an apparatus for blowing and filling containers, the apparatus including a mold enclosing a blown and carbonated beverage-filled container. The container includes a dispensing opening, an injection head that is movable along a longitudinal axis, passing by the dispensing opening of the container, between a sealing position in which the injection head is in a sealing engagement with the dispensing opening and a non-sealing position in which the injection head spaced from the dispensing opening. The method includes the steps of moving the injection head away from the sealing position to a first non-sealing position, moving the injection head from the first non-sealing position back to the sealing position, and after moving the injection head back, moving the injection head away from the sealing position to a second non-sealing position that is different from the first non-sealing position.

Abstract: A process of manual, semi-automatic and fully-automated integration of discrete components into a container that results in fast, reliable, cost-effective, and scalable production of composite containers is disclosed. The process can be embodied in manufacturing equipment that has a series of stations and may be called an assembly device. The equipment can produce containers, tubs, canisters, cartridges, etc. which are easily separated into different bio-degradable or compostable parts. Other container types are possible and are contemplated.

Abstract: A method for the distribution and dispensing of beverages utilizes a one-way system including a disposable and freestanding container. The container is blow-molded in one piece from a preform of plastics. The system also includes a tube to be inserted in the container and a closure cap. The container can be filled, distributed to an end user and connected to standard beverage dispensing structure. After use, the empty container is collapsed and discarded.
