摘要: A drive unit includes: a scanner unit to which a catheter is connectable, an imaging core that executes tomographic imaging and that is positioned in the catheter; and a pull-back unit configured to support the scanner unit such that the scanner unit is displaceable. The drive unit includes a hold unit configured to control a non-hold state in which scanner unit displacement is not restricted and a hold state in which scanner unit displacement is restricted, a driving unit configured to rotationally drive the catheter imaging core, a switching input unit configured to receive a switching input of the hold state and the non-hold state, and a control unit configured to, when a switching input operation from the hold state to the non-hold state is detected while the imaging core is not rotationally driven, rotationally drive the imaging core and then set the scanner unit to the non-hold state.

摘要: A treatment method and a treatment system capable of treating a tumor while checking a degree of destruction of tumor cells due to emission of light and improving a treatment effect. A treatment system configured to irradiate a photosensitive substance accumulated in a tumor cell of breast cancer with excitation light, and includes: an optical device including an optical fiber configured to propagate light between a proximal portion and a distal portion of the optical device, and including, at the distal portion, an irradiation unit configured to emit light outward, and a detection unit configured to detect external light. The distal portion of the optical device is configured to be inserted into a lactiferous duct from a lactiferous duct orifice.

摘要: In one aspect, a photoplethysmograph system to measure a user's heart rate includes one or more light-emitting diodes (LED) that provide a constantly-on light signal during a measurement period. The one or more light-emitting diodes are in optical contact with an epidermal surface of the user. The one or more light-emitting diodes emit a light signal into the tissue of the user, and wherein the tissue contains a pulsating blood flow. A light-intensity sensor circuit converts the reflected LED light from the tissue into a second signal that is proportional to a reflected light intensity. The second signal includes a voltage or current signal. A computer-processing module calculates the user's beat-to-beat heart rate from the second current signal.
