Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for identifying, from a resource pool allocated for sidelink communications between UEs, a first number of resources for transmissions from the first UE to a second UE based on a set of one or more parameters shared between the first UE and the second UE and identifying, from the resource pool, a second number of resources for transmissions from the second UE to the first UE based on the shared set of one or more parameters. The first UE may communicate with the second UE using the first and the second number of resources and avoid using the remaining available resources for power saving. For example, the first UE and the second UE may avoid sidelink communications on time slots on which no subchannels belong to either the first subset or second number of the resources.

Abstract: Wireless devices are configured to facilitate UE assisted bandwidth part (BWP) selection in wireless communication systems. According to one example, a scheduled entity can receive an RRC reconfiguration message indicating a handover from a source cell to a target cell, identify uplink data in the buffer, and send an enhanced UE assistance information (UAI) transmission to the target cell, the enhanced UAI indicating a preferred BWP of the target cell. In addition, a scheduling entity can receive an enhanced UAI transmission from a scheduled entity indicating a preferred BWP for the scheduled entity, and select the preferred BWP for communication with the scheduled entity from the enhanced UAI. Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods related to power saving, including during connected mode operation and for extended reality (XR) data communications with or without discontinuous reception (DRX), are provided. For example, a method of wireless communication can include receiving, while in a connected mode, a configuration based on data traffic for the wireless communication device, the configuration indicating: a first zone associated with a first set of operating parameters for the wireless communication device; and a second zone associated with a second set of operating parameters for the wireless communication device, the second set of operating parameters being different than the first set of operating parameters; operating in the first zone with the first set of operating parameters to monitor for a first downlink communication signal; and operating in the second zone with the second set of operating parameters.
