    Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly having a mirror reflective element, a mirror back plate and a heater pad disposed between the mirror reflective element and the mirror back plate. The heater pad is adhered via a pressure sensitive adhesive to the glass substrate of the mirror reflective element, and the mirror back plate is adhered via a pressure sensitive adhesive to the heater pad. The mirror back plate includes first structure that is configured to attach at an actuator. A blind spot indicator element is disposed second structure of the mirror back plate. When the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is attached at the vehicle and when a light source of the indicator element is activated, an icon present at an outboard region of said electrochromic mirror reflective element is illuminated and is viewable by the driver of the vehicle.

The actuator, with the mounting arm attached at the exterior portion of the vehicle, and when the actuator is electrically operated, moves the mirror head relative to the mounting arm to vertically and horizontally adjust a rearward field of view of a driver of the vehicle who is viewing the mirror reflective element.

The non-movable portion is configured for attachment at an exterior portion of a vehicle and the movable portion is movable relative to the non-movable portion. The mirror head is movable relative to the movable portion, and a mirror reflective element is fixedly attached at the mirror head. A first actuator is operable to move the movable portion relative to the non-movable portion about a first axis and a second actuator is operable to move the mirror head relative to the movable portion about a second axis. The first and second actuators are cooperatively operable to move the movable portion about the first axis and to move the mirror head about the second axis, and the mirror reflective element moves in tandem with movement of the mirror head.

    Abstract: An exterior mirror system for a vehicle includes an exterior mirror assembly having a folding portion and a non-folding portion configured for mounting at a side of a vehicle. A reflective element is disposed at the folding portion. The reflective element is mounted to a backing plate that is supported by an electrical actuator operable to move the reflective element. The exterior mirror assembly includes an indicator having at least one light emitting diode that emits an intensity of light when electrically operated. During low ambient lighting conditions at night, the intensity of light emitted by the at least one light emitting diode of the indicator is reduced under photosensor control to a nighttime intensity level. The nighttime intensity level is greater than about 0.3 candela and is less than about 200 candelas. The indicator may include a module and the module may be substantially water impervious.

    Abstract: A mirror reflective element assembly for an exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror casing, a reflective element, an auxiliary wide angle element and a back plate.     Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror system includes an exterior rearview mirror assembly configured for attachment at a vehicle and an electrically-operable actuator. An exterior mirror head is movable relative to an exterior portion of the vehicle via operation of the actuator. The exterior mirror head accommodates an exterior mirror reflective element attached at an attachment plate. A heater pad is disposed between the exterior mirror reflective element and the attachment plate. An outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element is exposed to and is viewable by a driver of the vehicle and is contactable. The attachment plate includes wall structure that spans a perimeter circumferential edge of the exterior mirror reflective element. No part of the exterior mirror head encroaches onto the outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element. No part of the exterior mirror head overlaps the outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element.
