Abstract:
The present invention includes a catalyst having (a) a non-metallic support having a plurality of pores; (b) a metal heteropoly acid salt that is insoluble in a polar solvent on the non-metallic support; wherein at least a portion of the metal heteropoly acid salt is dispersed within said plurality of pores. The present invention also includes a method of depositing a metal heteropoly acid salt that is insoluble in a polar solvent onto a non-metallic support having a plurality of pores. The method has the steps of: (a) obtaining a first solution containing a first precursor of a metal salt cation; (b) obtaining a second solution containing a second precursor of a heteropoly acid anion in a solvent having a limited dissolution potential for said first precursor; (c) impregnating the non-metallic support with the first precursor forming a first precursor deposit within the plurality of pores, forming a first precursor impregnated support; (d) heating said first precursor impregnated support forming a bonded first precursor impregnated support; (e) impregnating the second precursor that reacts with the precursor deposit and forms the metal heteropoly acid salt.
Abstract:
A multi-swivel connector for connecting a fluid-operated tool to a fluid source has a post having an axis, a swivel unit having an axis extending perpendicular to the axis of the post, at least one fluid line entering the post at one end of the post and exiting on the a swivel unit at another end of the post, a fitting unit connected to the a swivel unit and having at least one second fluid line which extends from the at least one fluid line through the fitting outwardly to be connected with a hose or the like extending from the fluid source, so that when the fluid enters the a fitting unit it is fed to the one end of the post to operate the fluid-operated tool, and the a fitting unit are turnable around the axis of the post and tiltable around the axis of the a swivel unit.
Abstract:
A read system for a multi-ported register file includes a segmented bit line coupled to a global bit line. Each local bit line segment is coupled to a sub-set of the register files in a column to reduce device load and connection load. The local bit line segments are each coupled in series by local sense amps with the local bit line segment coupled to the input of a global sense amplifier. The number of cells coupled to the last bit line segment is more than the number of cells coupled to a bit line segment farthest from the global sense amplifier to balance device and interconnect load and provide for uniform read timing. Both the local bit line segments and global bit line are precharged prior to sensing a bit so that the local sense amplifiers do not require output pull-up transistors. This scheme will not work if the local sense amp includes a pull-up PMOS transistor at its output.

Abstract:
Systems, devices, and methods for system for monitoring uterine contractions non-invasively using surface electrode measurements are described herein.
Abstract:
Provided herein are methods for imaging and diagnosing at least one disorder in a patient utilizing diffusion basis spectrum imaging MRI with extended isotropic spectrum (DBSI-EIS). The methods may be used as a tool to image and diagnose heterogeneities within tumors. As a result, different tumor types can be detected, distinguished from one another, and individually quantified without the need to inject exogenous contrast agents.
