Abstract: An actuation mechanism may control the movement of an aircraft seat between an upright position and a bed position. The aircraft seat comprises a back rest and connected seat pan with an actuator for moving the seat between an upright position and a bed position. The seat pan comprises a cam follower (32). The cam follower (32) is arranged to move along a first cam path (38) when the aircraft seat is moved from the upright position to the bed position. It is further arranged to move along a second cam path (40) when the seat is moved from the bed position to the upright position.

Abstract: A vehicle seat includes first and second sub-seatbacks also provided as first and second seat cushions mounted on a main seatback to be rotatable in forward-rearward directions. A forward facing position in which an occupant is accommodated while viewing forward and a rearward facing position in which the occupant is accommodated while viewing rearward is easily realized, in response to forward and rearward rotation of the first sub-seatback and the second sub-seatback also provided as first and second seat cushions. Furthermore, a full-bed mode in which the seat is horizontally spread like a bed, a cushion tip-up mode in which the entirety of the seat is positioned upright for ensuring freight loading and an occupant entering and exiting passage, and the like are realized.

Abstract: A folding bed system includes a bed frame having a head section, a center section, and a foot section. The center section is connected to first and second slide mechanisms, and the head section is connected to first and second guide mechanisms. The slide and guide mechanisms are connectable to opposed walls of a structure. In some embodiments, a hinge assembly for a folding structure includes a center post securable to the center section, and a connecting bracket movably coupled with the center post that is vertically displaceable on the center post between a down position and an up position. A forward bracket is secured at one end to the connecting bracket and is securable at an opposite end to the head section, and an aft bracket is secured at one end to the connecting bracket and is securable at an opposite end to the foot section.

Abstract: A seat opening concealment structure is provided including a cover member that covers part of a vehicle seat, and that includes an outer wall including a curved face portion with a circular arc shaped cross-section profile, the outer wall being formed with an opening having an elongated profile along a peripheral direction of the curved face portion, and the outer wall being formed with a larger radius of curvature at an inner face of the curved face portion than a radius of curvature at an outer face of the curved face portion. The seat opening concealment structure further includes a rotatable body that is supported via a coupling section inserted through the opening so as to be rotatable relative to the cover member, and a concealing sheet that is provided with an attachment hole at which the coupling section is attached, that is longer than a length of the opening, that is supported at two width direction end portions of the concealing sheet so as to be slidable along the inner face of the outer wall, and that covers the opening.

Abstract: A method for adjusting a position of a vehicle seat from a reclined position to a pre-determinable safety position. The method includes detecting an imminent or ongoing frontal or semi-frontal collision, pretensioning a seat belt associated with the vehicle seat, the seat belt being directly or indirectly attached to a backrest of the vehicle seat, and adjusting the position of the vehicle seat from the reclined position to the pre-determinable safety position by means of a seat adjustment means associated with the vehicle seat, the seat adjustment means being actuated by a collision force generated by the imminent or ongoing frontal or semi-frontal collision and applied via a seat occupant and/or the seat belt to the vehicle seat. The present invention also relates to an occupant safety arrangement for a vehicle seat.
