    摘要： An apparatus for the continuous wet treatment of woven fabrics and knitted fabrics comprising a casing providing with an entry slot and an exit slot for the fabric under treatment, a curved widening cylinder, a series of rollers covered with a rubber layer with their axes parallel and transverse to the fabric feed path, the rollers being arranged in zig-zag formation in a vertical plane one in contact with the next. The series of rollers comprises in succession idle rollers, presser rollers and a motorized roller. The apparatus also comprises a squeezing roller positioned in proximity to said exit slot in contact with the motorized roller. There are also provided devices for adjusting the contact pressure between the presser rollers and their adjacent rollers and between said squeezing roller and its adjacent roller, and pairs of scraper seals positioned against the side ends of each mutually contacting roller pair of said series. Finally, there are provided two treatment liquid feed pipes in the top of the casing in positions corresponding with two different contact regions between the rollers, and a treatment liquid discharge pipe.

    摘要： A pressure saturator for impregnating a substrate with a saturant is disclosed, having a block member with an arcuate, sloping upper surface that is graduated from a relatively deep portion to a relatively shallow portion. Rollers are disposed on each side of the block member for conveying the substrate into and out of the saturator, and a mandrel is disposed between the rollers for guiding the substrate through the saturator. The lower portion of the mandrel is spaced from the block member and extends into the recess formed by the arcuate surface to define a chamber therebetween. The chamber has an inlet and an outlet for admitting the substrate and the saturant, and converges in depth from the inlet region to the outlet region to pressurize the solution and force the saturant into the interstices of the substrate.

    摘要： An apparatus and method for providing an impregnation/rinsing of a web with fluid is disclosed wherein the web is repeatedly gently squeezed and allowed to open. A perforated conveyor belt carries the web within a longitudinal tank in which a series of squeeze rollers and a series of singular or cooperating rollers are arranged with the cooperating rollers being disposed intermediate the squeeze rollers. The web is carried by the conveyor belt beneath the first squeeze roller where the web is gently squeezed in a nip defined between the conveyor belt and the roller. The conveyor belt then carries the web above a cooperating roller. After the web has been gently squeezed, it is allowed to absorb the fluid in the tank without restraint until the web is gently squeezed again between the conveyor belt and the next squeeze roller. The steps of squeezing and absorbing are repeated throughout the longitudinal tank. Fluid is supplied to the longitudinal tank by one or more orifices which receive fluid from either a collection tank provided beneath the conveyor belt and longitudinal tank and/or from a supply of fresh fluid. The fluid in the tank typically travels in a path which is opposed to the general direction of travel of the web within the tank, especially when the apparatus is used as a rinser. Various devices and arrangements of belts may be added, if desired, to prevent the web from adhering to the surface of the squeeze rollers.

    摘要： Apparatus for the continuous treatment of webs of textile materials or similar materials in hot liquids, wherein the web and the liquid travel at equal speeds during the treatment with the web floating in the liquid, and wherein the ratio by weight of liquid to the web is between about 10:1 and 50:1, the main features being the introduction of the web into the treatment liquid in irregular, preferably crimped shape, and not in pleated shape, through a port of larger width than the width of the treatment path and at a higher speed than the one at which web and treatment liquid travel during the treatment proper, thereby causing a banking up of the liquid and the web therein, to a thicker sheet, and further subjecting the surface of the web in all its parts to convective or turbulent currents effected in the treatment liquid to bring about a change of shape in said surface parts of the web.
