    摘要： There is provided a device for handling tires having an anchor for attaching to a prime mover and a clamping device rotatably mounted to the anchor that rotates relative to the anchor about a rotation axis. The clamping device has a plurality of engagement members connected by a mechanical linkage and a carrying body with a plurality of guides. The weight distribution of the clamping device is balanced about the rotation axis. Each guide carries one of the engagement members and is oriented to allow the engagement members to move perpendicular to the rotation axis between clamping and release positions. The mechanical linkage includes a rotating actuator and controls movement of the engagement members along the guides. The movement of each engagement member is rotationally symmetric about the rotation axis relative to the movement of the other engagement members. The device has an actuator that actuates the mechanical linkage.

    摘要： An apparatus and assembly is easily mounted to a vehicle of the type that is often used to lift objects, such as a fork truck. The apparatus and assembly is configured with a front end that has two opposing forks, or support members. Situated on top of each support member is a hinged plate. Each hinged plate is normally disposed in a horizontal plane, but can be pivoted upwardly relative to a hinge. Each plate also comprises an arcuate portion that faces inwardly relative to the support members. The arcuate portions of the plates form part of a round circumferential diameter to that substantially matches the diameter of a barrel. This diameter, however, is less than the diameter of an upper rim of the barrel and is less than any horizontally-disposed reinforcing billets that are defined in the sidewalls of the barrel.

    摘要： A hand cart is adapted to lift an upright water bottle from a support surface of a first height, carry the bottle to a water dispenser of a second height, invert the bottle, and lower a mouth of the bottle into a receiving opening of the dispenser. A scissors/jackscrew mechanism pivotally connected between a pivot arm structure and an upright structure raises and lowers an outer portion of the pivot arm structure. A bottle holding mechanism pivotally connected to the outer portion of the pivot arm structure inverts the bottle. The bottle holding mechanism includes first and second bottle engaging pads pivotally connected to spaced first and second outer portions of the pivot arm structure, respectively, and engaging opposite sides of the bottle between circumferential ridges thereof. Velcro straps secure the bottle to the pads.

    摘要： Apparatus is disclosed for engaging, raising and rotating tanks/cylinders which contain liquids or gases under pressure. The apparatus comprises a cradle rotationally mounted on an elevator housing. While the tank/cylinder is elevated, an auto turn linkage in one embodiment of the apparatus assists in turning the cradle assembly by engagement with an indexing mechanism. Once the tank has been rotated 90 degrees, the indexing mechanism is locked in place, the auto turn linkage is released, and evacuation plumbing is affixed to the tank. The tank is then manually inverted for evacuation of the liquid.
