摘要： An inkjet recording apparatus includes a piezoelectric element, an extraction processing portion, and a drive control portion. The piezoelectric element is provided in correspondence with a nozzle, and upon input of a first drive signal, causes ink to be ejected from the nozzle. The extraction processing portion, when a print process is executed, extracts a non-ejection period during which a non-ejection state continues for more than a reference time period, from an execution period of the print process based on image data printed in the print process, wherein ink is not ejected from the nozzle in the non-ejection state. The drive control portion inputs a second drive signal for causing the piezoelectric element to stir the ink in the nozzle, to the piezoelectric element during a partial period of the non-ejection period extracted by the extraction processing portion.

摘要： A liquid discharge head includes a recording element board having a first face on which multiple recording elements are provided, and discharge orifices for the recording elements, where pressure chambers are formed for each recording element and liquid is discharged from discharge orifices. A liquid supply channel and a liquid recovery channel are provided in common to the plurality of recording elements, in a second face opposite to the recording element board from the first face. The pressure chambers are each made to communicate with the liquid supply channel and the liquid recovery channel by the supply ports and recovery ports respectively, and a flow from the liquid supply channel through the pressure chambers to the liquid recovery channel is generated. A composited flow resistance of the liquid recovery channel and recovery ports is greater than a composited flow resistance of the liquid supply channel and supply ports.

The present array-type ink cartridge comprises: a plurality of ink cartridge modules which each have a pair of heads arranged so as to cross each other in the longitudinal direction so that the print width expands; and a fixing plate for fixing the plurality of ink cartridge modules and aligning the fixing position so that the plurality of ink cartridge modules are in an array configuration in the longitudinal direction of the ink cartridge modules or the width direction of the ink cartridges. The array-type ink cartridge according to embodiments of the present invention can embody various colors and print widths of various sizes by using a plurality of ink cartridge modules, and can optionally expand the number of ink cartridge modules used according to the characteristics of a printing device.
