Abstract: A method that includes monitoring, by a communication service that is a participant to a channel of a communication platform, multiple inputs to the channel by other participants to the channel, where the communication service is configured to execute one or more machine learning models and access one or more external data platforms that are linked to the channel. The method may further include identifying, by the communication service and based on processing of an input by the one or more machine learning models, an action associated with a first external data platform, where the action is identified from a set of actions that are associated with the first external data platform and preconfigured for the communication platform. The method may further include triggering, by the communication service and based on identifying the action, execution of the action using data from the first external data platform.
