Abstract: According to the present disclosure, a sound output device includes: a sound acquisition part configured to acquire sound to be output to the other end of a sound guide part, one end of which is arranged near an entrance of an ear canal of a listener, the sound guide part having a hollow structure; and a head-related transfer function adjustment part configured to adjust a head-related transfer function of sound captured by the sound guide part. Since the head-related transfer function adjustment part adjusts the head-related transfer function of sound captured by the sound guide part, it is possible to listen to both ambient sound and sound provided from a sound output device such that the listener does not feel strangeness even in the state in which the listener is wearing the sound output device.

Abstract: The present technology relates to an HRTF measurement method, an HRTF measurement device, and a program which can more simply acquire a head-related transfer function of an individual.The HRTF measurement device displays an image indicating a target direction that a user is to face. In a case where a front direction of the user and the target direction are matched, the HRTF measurement device outputs a measurement sound from a speaker and measures an HRTF on the basis of a result of receiving the measurement sound through a microphone mounted on an ear of the user. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a device which measures a head-related transfer function and the like.

Abstract: The present technology relates to a sound field reproduction apparatus and method, and a program, enabled to more accurately reproduce a sound field. A spacial filter application unit obtains a virtual speaker array drive signal of an annular virtual speaker array with a radius larger than a radius of a spherical microphone array, by applying a spacial filter to a spacial frequency spectrum of a sound collection signal obtained by having the spherical microphone array collect sounds. An inverse filter generation unit obtains an inverse filter based on a transfer function from a real speaker array up to the virtual speaker array. An inverse filter application unit applies the inverse filter to a time frequency spectrum of the virtual speaker array drive signal, and obtains a real speaker array drive signal of the real speaker array. The present technology can be applied to a sound field reproduction device.
