Abstract: A method is provided for operating an electronic device comprising: displaying a plurality of visual items on a screen of the electronic device; detecting a first gesture received at the electronic device; detecting whether the first gesture corresponds to a request for repositioning the plurality of visual items; and when the first gesture corresponds to the request for repositioning the plurality of visual items, repositioning the plurality of visual items based on a direction of the first gesture.
