Abstract: A system and/or method for determining an Angle of Arrival (AoA) of a signal by a base station. The technique may include configuring different time intervals and multiple phase shifts across an antenna array of the base station. The technique may include receiving the signal from UEs at the different time intervals and the multiple phase shifts across the antenna array. The technique may include estimating phase angles of the signal received at the different time intervals and the multiple phase shifts. The technique may include determining the AoA of the signal received from the UEs based on the phase angles of the signal received at the different time intervals and the multiple phase shifts.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method for transmitting downlink control information to a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The method includes segmenting a plurality of Aggregation Levels (ALs) across multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) in a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH). Further, the method includes transmitting the plurality of segmented aggregation levels across multiple BWPs to one or more UEs. The segmented plurality of ALs comprises multiple combinations of ALs across multiple BWPs. The proposed method includes narrowing down the search space by signaling to the UE explicitly or implicitly the AL resources that the UE has to monitor to perform the decoding of the PDCCH. In some embodiments, the length of the control information formats is modified such that the UE needs to perform a minimum number of blind decoding attempts.
