    Abstract: To provide a display device having a reduced non-display area, the display device including: a substrate including a display area, the display area including a first area and a second area; a first pixel electrode in the first area, and a second pixel electrode in the second area; a pixel-defining layer on the substrate and including a first opening and a second opening, the first opening exposing at least a portion of the first pixel electrode, and the second opening exposing at least a portion of the second pixel electrode; a first intermediate layer on the at least a portion of the first pixel electrode, and a second intermediate layer on the at least a portion of the second pixel electrode; a first opposite electrode on the first intermediate layer; and a second opposite electrode on the first opposite electrode and the second intermediate layer.

    Abstract: An organic light-emitting display apparatus includes: a substrate; first and second pixel electrodes on the substrate and spaced from each other; an insulating layer between the first and second pixel electrodes, the insulating layer covering ends of the first and second pixel electrodes, and having a step height difference; an auxiliary electrode on the insulating layer; first and second intermediate layers on the first and second pixel electrodes, the first and second intermediate layers being spaced from each other, and including first and second light-emitting layers, respectively; first and second opposite electrodes on the first and second intermediate layers, the first and second opposite electrodes being spaced from each other, and in contact with the auxiliary electrode; and first and second passivation layers on the first and second opposite electrodes, the first and second passivation layers being spaced from each other, and covering the first and second opposite electrodes, respectively.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a first substrate and a display unit. The display unit includes a display region and a transmissive region. The display unit further includes: an auxiliary layer disposed in correspondence with the transmissive region; and a second electrode disposed in correspondence with the display region and at least a portion of the transmissive region. The auxiliary layer includes a first material, the second electrode includes a second material, and the first material and the second material each satisfy Equation 1 below: ST2−ST1>0 mJ/m2, wherein, in Equation 1, ST1 is a surface energy of the first material at 25° C., and ST2 is a surface energy of the second material at 25° C.

    Abstract: A manufacturing method of a display device includes: forming a first electrode on a base substrate; forming a pixel definition layer through which an opening is defined to expose an upper surface of the first electrode; providing an organic molecular thin film including a self-assembled monolayer on the first electrode and the pixel definition layer; desorbing a portion of the organic molecular thin film which corresponds to the first electrode; and providing at least one organic layer on the first electrode.

    Abstract: According to an aspect of the invention, a display apparatus includes: a substrate comprising a first area and a second area; a first pixel electrode in the first area and a second pixel electrode in the second area; a first intermediate layer disposed on the first pixel electrode and a second intermediate layer disposed on the second pixel electrode; a first opposite electrode facing the first pixel electrode with the first intermediate layer therebetween and having a first light transmissivity; and a second opposite electrode facing the second pixel electrode with the second intermediate layer therebetween and having a second light transmissivity lower than the first light transmissivity.
