Abstract: A display device includes: a pixel defining layer on a pixel electrode, and having a pixel opening exposing a portion of the pixel electrode; an emission layer on the pixel electrode at the pixel opening; an opposite electrode on the emission layer; a first refractive layer on the opposite electrode, and having a first refractive index, and a refractive opening that overlaps with the pixel opening; and a second refractive layer on the first refractive layer, and having a second refractive index greater than the first refractive index. A minimum gap between the pixel opening and the refractive opening in a plan view is greater than or equal to −1 μm and less than or equal to 2.5 μm, and a width of the refractive opening is less than a width of the pixel opening when the minimum gap is negative, and greater when the minimum gap is positive.

Abstract: A method of driving an auto-stereoscopic display apparatus includes detecting a position of a user to determine a target visible distance, determining at least one original pixel unit having a first unit width based on the target visible distance, wherein the pixel unit includes a plurality of pixel sets in a row, each pixel set including N pixels, comparing the target visible distance to a predetermined reference visible distance of the auto-stereoscopic display apparatus, and converting the original pixel unit to a compensated pixel unit having a second unit width different from the first unit width to project viewpoint sets through the N pixels to a viewing zone at the target visible distance.

Abstract: A display device may include a pixel electrode, a pixel defining layer on the pixel electrode and having a pixel opening that exposes at least a portion of the pixel electrode, an emission layer on the pixel electrode in the pixel opening, an opposite electrode on the emission layer, a first refractive layer on the opposite electrode and having a refractive opening, the first refractive layer having a first refractive index, and a second refractive layer on the first refractive layer and having a second refractive index greater than the first refractive index. A maximum inclination angle of a sidewall of the first refractive layer exposed by the refractive opening with respect to a lower surface of the first refractive layer may be between about 65 degrees and about 90 degrees.

Each of the concave-convex units protrudes from a surface of the protective layer. The organic light-emitting device includes a pixel electrode, an emission layer, and an opposite layer sequentially stacked on the concave-convex unit, and a distance between the pixel electrode and the opposite electrode is determined by 5%≤(a/b)≤18%, wherein ‘a’ is a vertical distance with respect to the surface of the protective layer between the pixel electrode and the opposite electrode and ‘b’ is a minimum distance between the pixel electrode and the opposite electrode.
