摘要： A cutting device for a sewing machine is provided with a cutting instrument associated to a cutting zone. The cutting instrument is formed with a blade movable towards the cutting zone. Furthermore, a protective guard is provided with a blade cover surrounding the blade, movable from an inoperative position spaced apart from the cutting zone to a position in front of the cutting zone. The blade and the blade cover are drivable in such a manner that the blade is only movable towards the cutting zone after the blade cover has been moved in front of the cutting zone. In order to reliably position the blade cover in front of the cutting zone prior to the movement of the blade to the cutting zone for performing the cutting operation, a mechanical locking mechanism is provided for the blade, which is only released when the blade cover is positioned in front of the cutting zone. The blade cover is non-positively connected to its drive in order to prevent injuries by the blade cover.

摘要： A lubricating arrangement for the raceway of the bobbin case of a rotary sewing machine looptaker having a body with a recess formed by a bottom and a substantially cylindrical sidewall for holding the bobbin case. A hub of the looptaker has an oil collecting chamber in the form of an annular cavity with undercut inside peripheral area. The chamber receives oil supplied from an oil collecting sump. Centrifugal action causes the oil to flow through a conduit located between the oil collecting chamber and the bottom of the recess, via an adjusting device, to the raceway for the bobbin case. For regulating the oil delivery, the conduit is surrounded along a portion of its length by a borehole located in the bottom. An adjusting screw is provided for tilting the conduit in relation to the axis of the loop taker. An oil collecting sump closed by a cover, is in the bottom of the looptaker body. Oil is supplied to the oil collecting sump through a hollow looptaker shaft. The oil collecting sump has a sidewall tapering towards the bottom of the recess, and an oil line extends from the oil collecting sump outward to the oil collecting chamber for delivering oil from the sump to the collecting chamber.

摘要： A cutting device for an automatic sewing machine, including a knife (2) and a knife guard (3) which projects the fingers of the operator. The knife (2) is capable of being lowered to a cutting area in a cutting plane (S) only when the knife guard (3) is in its protecting position. The knife (2) and knife guard (3) are driven simultaneosuly by a single drive, the knife guard (3) reaching the cutting plane (S) earlier than the knife (2). If the knife guard (3) cannot substantially reach its protective position, then the downward movement of the knife (2) is mechanically blocked, preventing further movement of the knife (2). This mechanical blocking is carried out by the coaction of a lever (20) which is connected to the knife guard (3) by a connecting member (21), the lever (20) being moveable in translation and rotation, and by a lever (19), which is moveable rotationally only and has a stop (37) thereon for blocking movement of the knife (2) when the knife guard (3) is not in its protective position. The stop (37) is responsive both to the drive (5) and to the degree to which the knife guard (3) has been lowered.

摘要： A double chain stitch sewing machine having a feeding device with a feed dog oscillatingly movable in and opposite to the feeding direction for producing a relative movement between a workpiece and the sewing machine. It has a needle reciprocatingly driven by a crank mechanism, at which the feeding mechanism also imparts synchronous jogging movements to the needle in order to generate a needle feed movement. The reciprocatingly and joggingly driven needle cooperates with a looper oscillatingly driven by a looper drive mechanism in parallel with the feeding direction. The looper drive mechanism is formed as a six-bar-linkage-mechanism provided at the input with a stationary pivot and at the output with a stationary pivot and provided with an intermediate pivot. The looper is oscillatingly swung at a relative high velocity from one extreme position to the other at an input motion with constant angular velocity and the looper is moved with a short period of dwell in that extreme position located in the feeding direction and moved with long period of dwell in that extreme position located oppositely to the feeding direction.
