Abstract:
A method and circuit are provided that solve the problem of prolonged signal fading in transceivers utilizing dual antenna match in a hybrid transmitter-receiver cancellation circuit, thereby enabling practically implementable full-duplex single channel, or duplexerless frequency division duplex (FDD), wireless communication systems. The method includes controlling dynamic change in signal's amplitude and phase at the receiver port of a hybrid Tx-Rx circuit by continuously varying radiation pattern parameters of at least one antenna, while maintaining nearly constant impedance at the hybrid's antenna interface ports and equalizing propagation delays between the hybrid circuit and both antennas, using a novel circuit design.
Abstract:
Various aspects described herein relate to resolving failures in digital pre-distortion (DPD) training in wireless communications. A failure during DPD training can be identified for a transceiver. One or both of a severity of the failure or a type of the failure can be determined. It can also be determined whether to perform self-recovery from the failure to continue the DPD training based at least in part on one or both of the severity of the failure or the type of the failure.

Various aspects described herein relate to adjusting transmit power of a radio frequency (RF) transceiver. A total power adjustment for adjusting a transmit power of the RF transceiver can be determined. The transmit power can be adjusted to a first adjusted transmit power based at least in part on a first adjustment size that is less than the total power adjustment and determined based at least in part on the transmit power. Digital pre-distortion (DPD) training of the RF transceiver can be performed to adjust one or more coefficients for calibrating the RF transceiver based on the first adjusted transmit power. The first adjusted transmit power can be adjusted to a second adjusted transmit power based at least in part on a second adjustment size that is less than the total power adjustment and computed based at least in part on the first adjusted transmit power.
