Abstract:
A method of wireless communication includes establishing, by a mobile device, an access connection to a first mobile network for network connectivity of the mobile device to the first mobile network. The mobile device includes a first transceiver of a first radio access technology (RAT) type and a second transceiver of a second RAT type, where establishing the access connection comprises performing a plurality of connection setup procedures. At least one of the connection setup procedures is communicated with the first transceiver over the first RAT type and at least another one of the connection setup procedures is communicated with the second transceiver over the second RAT type.
Abstract:
Systems and methods include broadcasting an entitlement management message (EMM) in a communication system using a scheduled delivery window. The systems and methods including receiving a EMM broadcast window from a distribution system, listening for the EMM during the EMM broadcast window, and receiving the EMM from the distribution system during the EMM broadcast window.
Abstract:
A method of providing content notifications to devices in a wireless communication system includes obtaining notification information regarding content available to a first group of mobile devices in a wireless network, generating a notification message comprising the notification information and an identifier associated with a second group of mobile devices that is a subset of the first group, and broadcasting the notification message over the network to cause mobile devices of the second group to retrieve the content over the network. The method also includes receiving content notifications in a wireless communication system, including receiving a notification message comprising notification information regarding content available to a first group of mobile devices and an identifier associated with a second group of devices, where the second group is a subset of the first group, and retrieving content from a network in response to being one of the second group of devices.
Abstract:
A method for redirecting a user equipment (UE) from a first network to a second network is described. The method includes determining, at a wireless access point of the first network, information for the UE about one or more mobile network operator (MNO) networks. The method also includes selecting the second network for redirection from among the one or more MNO networks based on the determined information. The method further includes sending the UE a redirection message that redirects the UE from the first network to the second network.
Abstract:
A method includes: establishing a telecommunication link between a device and a service provider system via a telecommunication network; receiving a device public key via the telecommunication network from the device at the service provider system, the device public key predating the establishment of the telecommunication link; verifying, at the service provider system, that the device stores a device private key in a secure storage area of the device, the device private key corresponding to the device public key, the device public key and the device private key being a cryptographic key pair; and authorizing, by the service provider system, sign-up of the device for service enrollment in response to verifying that the device stores the device private key in the secure storage area of the device.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are described for asynchronous communications in a sensor network. An indication of a receiving opportunity can be transmitted by a sensor device. The sensor device can then provide the receiving opportunity based at least in part on transmitting the indication, and disable communication resources at the sensor device for a duration of a sleep time following the receiving opportunity. An upstream node can generate information for communicating to a sensor device, receive the indication of the receiving opportunity from the sensor device, and transmit the information to the sensor device during the receiving opportunity based at least in part on receiving the indication.
