    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first wireless device may transmit one or more signals to a second wireless device using an antenna panel including antenna elements that are arranged in a hexagonal configuration. The signals may be transmitted using one or more directional beams for multiple-input multiple-output communications with the second wireless device, the directional beams generated based on the antenna elements in the hexagonal configuration. The first wireless device may receive a signal from the second wireless device, and in some cases, the first wireless device may transmit one or more reference signals via the one or more directional beams, the reference signals associated with a set of two or more antenna elements of the antenna panel of the first wireless device. The second wireless device may perform measurements of the reference signals and transmit a measurement report to the first wireless device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, which may be a user equipment (UE), may receive a message including an indication of a set of demodulation reference signal (DMRS) candidates for a data channel. The data channel may be a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) in some examples. The UE may determine a set of parameters associated with the set of DMRS candidates based on the received message. The set of parameters may correspond to a radio frequency spectrum subband or a radio frequency spectrum band associated with the data channel. The UE may estimate one or more characteristics of the data channel using the set of parameters associated with the set of DMRS candidates to perform wireless communication (e.g., PDSCH reception, PUSCH transmission).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a first network node receiving a configuration message for a report by the first network node of parameters for a temporal domain precoder. The configuration message may indicate a range of Doppler frequencies, a resolution associated with the range of Doppler frequencies, or a quantity of the parameters to be reported. The first network node may estimate a communications channel and select one or more bins within the range of Doppler frequencies based on the channel estimation. For each selected bin, the first network node may determine a corresponding discrete Fourier transform (DFT) vector and transmit a report indicating the corresponding DFT vector.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for reducing channel state information (CSI) feedback overhead sent from one or more user equipments (UEs) to a network entity, such as a base station (BS) or gNodeB (gNB), while ensuring correct mapping of the CSI feedback at the network entity. In some cases, the overhead reduction may be achieved by converting the CSI feedback to size-reduced and further quantized representative coefficients (e.g., for multiple UEs). The quantized coefficients allow the network entity to recover the CSI feedback by de-quantizing and correctly mapping the quantized coefficients to recover the CSI feedback.
