Abstract:
A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) capable of supporting multiple subscriptions, includes measuring, with a first of the multiple subscriptions, neighbor cells of at least one other subscription of multiple subscriptions. The method also includes storing measurement results from measuring the neighbor cells in a common measurement results database, while avoiding duplicates. The method further includes reporting, with a subscription for which a neighbor is configured by a network, the measurement results from the common measurement results database.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for dynamic UE-Category switching for enhanced idle mode power savings. A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes, determining that a cell supports a second UE category, lower than a first UE category; and while in an idle mode: operating in the cell according to the first UE category; and taking action to operate in the cell according to the second UE category based on the determination.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for decoding Multimedia Broadcast and Multicast Service (MBMS) data. A User Equipment (UE) may receive a Multicast Control Channel (MCCH) and Multicast Channel Scheduling Information (MSI) in a same subframe of a scheduling period, the MCCH and the MSI relating to one or more MBMS services provided in a Multimedia Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) area. The UE may configure at least a first control layer for the one or more MBMS services based on the MCCH and retain the MSI at least until the configuring is complete. The UE may thereafter configure at least a second control layer for the one or more MBMS services based on the MSI.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to techniques for paging during Long Term Evolution (LTE) discontinuous reception (DRX) operations. Aspects generally include determining whether one or more paging occasions from a base station (BS) occur while a receiver of an apparatus is in an active state based on a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, adjusting a period that the receiver is in the active state during the DRX cycle if at least one paging occasion does not occur while the receiver is in the active state, and monitoring for at least one paging occasion occurring while the receiver is in the active state during the adjusted period.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine that the wireless communication device is configured to use a primary component carrier (PCC), a first secondary component carrier (SCC), and a second SCC for carrier aggregation. A primary cell may be associated with the PCC, a first secondary cell may be associated with the first SCC, and a second secondary cell may be associated with the second SCC. The first secondary cell may provide control information for the second secondary cell. The wireless communication device may monitor at least one of the first SCC or the second SCC. The wireless communication device may perform an action associated with the second secondary cell based, at least in part, on monitoring the at least one the first SCC or the second SCC.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives an MBMS service from a first cell based on first cell MBSFN service configuration information of the first cell. The apparatus switches from being served by the first cell to a second cell. The apparatus attempts to receive the MBMS service from the second cell by utilizing the first cell MBSFN service configuration information prior to obtaining second cell MBSFN service configuration information of the second cell.

Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a UE which uses a first antenna and a second antenna for communication with a first RAT. The apparatus determines that the second antenna is to be used for a procedure associated with a second RAT at a first time. The apparatus reduces a UE RI from an initial value to a reduced value for the communication with the first RAT at the first time based on the determination.
