Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from one or more transmission-reception points (TRPs), one or more on-demand downlink positioning reference signals (DL-PRS), the one or more on-demand DL-PRS having one or more downlink transmission parameters, and transmits, to the one or more TRPs, one or more uplink positioning reference signals (UL-PRS), the one or more UL-PRS having one or more uplink transmission parameters, wherein values of the one or more uplink transmission parameters are the same as or within a threshold of values of the one or more downlink transmission parameters.

Abstract: A mobile device is disclosed. The mobile device may receive, from a network node, information indicative of a predetermined time delay to be utilized in connection with an RF sensing procedure utilizing uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) signals. The mobile device may receive an RF sensing reference signal (RS) transmitted by a base station. Responsive to the predetermined time delay elapsing, the mobile device may transmit a corresponding RF sensing RS at a time corresponding to the predetermined time delay after a time at which the RF sensing RS was received, wherein a time at which the corresponding RF sensing RS is received and the predetermined time delay are usable to determine positioning information of the mobile device.

Abstract: Support for user equipment (UE) positioning with a non-terrestrial network (NTN) considers the significantly different propagation delays of positioning signals transmitted by SVs (SVs) in different orbits and elevation angles. The UE may be configured with a discontinuous measurement gap set for each positioning occasion, including separate measurement gaps for positioning signals transmitted by different SVs. Prioritization based on expected reference signal time differences (RSTD) may be used so that positioning signals received by the UE at nearly the same time are measured with higher priority. A burst configuration based on orbital position of SVs may be used so that positioning signals from different SVs will arrive at the UE within a maximum time window. The UE may provide a capability message indicating a maximum search window and uncertainty supported for NTNs, which may be used to configure the positioning signals to be measured by the UE.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a network entity may receive guard band information from each of a plurality of transmission/reception points (TRPs), wherein the guard band information describes guard bands used by that TRP. The network entity may generate assistance data, the assistance data comprising the guard band information for each of the plurality TRPs, wherein the guard band information defines at least one guard band between resource block (RB) sets within a bandwidth part (BWP), and wherein each guard band occupies zero or more contiguous RBs of the BWP. The network entity may send the assistance data to at least one user equipment (UE). In an aspect, the UE may then process positioning reference signals (PRSs) received from each of the plurality of TRPs according to the guard band information for that TRP.

Abstract: In some implementations, an ultra-wideband (UWB) initiator anchor device may receive a first blink message from a mobile device, wherein: the first blink message is sent during a slot of a contention access period (CAP) in a round of a UWB session, and the first blink message comprises a radio frequency (RF) message configured to enable UpLink Time Difference of Arrival (UL-TDoA) measurements by one or more UWB responder anchor devices. The UWB initiator anchor device may transmit a control message from the UWB initiator anchor device indicating a reserved slot in a subsequent contention free period (CFP) of the UWB session, wherein reserving the slot is responsive, at least in part, to receiving the first blink message at the UWB initiator device from the mobile device.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication and positioning. In an aspect, a base station (BS) may determine a slot configuration that defines at least a portion of one or more slots configured for RF sensing. The BS may send the slot configuration to at least one other telecommunications device, e.g., to another BS if the RF sensing is bistatic radar. The BS may then perform RF sensing according to the slot configuration. In another aspect, a user equipment (UE) may receive a slot configuration that defines at least a portion of one or more slots configured for RF sensing. The UE may operate according to the slot configuration, e.g., the UE may go to low power or sleep mode while the base station is performing RF sensing, and may optionally wake up to receive downlink signals or to transmit uplink signals.

Abstract: Different antenna components of a device cause different biases in calculating a location of a user equipment (UE) based on reference signals from another device (which may be sounding reference signals from the UE or positioning reference signals from a base station). A device is configured to use different subsets of antenna components to calculate a positioning measurement. With each of the antenna components associated with a bias in calculating the positioning measurement, each subset of antenna components is associated with a bias in calculating the positioning measurement. The device is configured to generate and report an angle error group (AEG) report that is associated with the positioning measurements calculated (such as an AEG report including positioning measurements and identifiers indicating the antenna components used). The AEG report is used by a location server to identify the antenna components to be used for UE positioning operations.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for collision rules between PRS and other downlink channels. The apparatus determines a PRS priority configuration including a priority for a collision between a PRS occasion and a first downlink channel. The apparatus receives an indication that schedules the first downlink channel. The first downlink channel scheduled to potentially collide with the PRS occasion. The apparatus determines that a time interval between the indication that schedules the first downlink channel and the PRS occasion is greater than a first threshold. The time interval is based on a separation between at least a last symbol of the indication and a first symbol of the PRS occasion. The apparatus applies the PRS priority configuration if the first downlink channel collides with the PRS occasion and the time interval is greater than the first threshold.
