    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to an apparatus and methods capable of pre-correcting reacquisition slew of pilot signal timing when a mobile device operates in a slotted mode or discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. In one aspect, a mobile device is operated in slotted mode. The mobile device wakes up to perform a pilot reacquisition corresponding to a slotted mode and detects a slew of a pilot timing relative to a pilot reference timing. The mobile device adjusts a subsequent pilot reference timing by an amount corresponding to the detected slew, to be utilized during a subsequent wake-up cycle. The mobile device returns to a sleep state to wait for the subsequent wake-up cycle. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems and devices are provided for managing quad SIM functionality on a mobile device. The method includes maintaining a first subscription and a second subscription active in slotted idle states on a first RF chain on the mobile device. The first subscription being associated with a first SIM and the second subscription being associated with a second SIM. The method also includes maintaining a third subscription and a fourth subscription active in slotted idle states on a second RF chain on the mobile device. The third subscription being associated with a third SIM and the fourth subscription being associated with a fourth SIM. In the slotted idle states the first, second, third and fourth subscriptions are able to monitor pages in respective paging channel slots. Further, the method includes switching the third subscription to the first RF chain in response to the fourth subscription entering a dedicated traffic state.

    Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods, devices, and non-transitory processor-readable storage media for reducing subscription reacquisition times in single radio long term evolution (SRLTE) communication devices. In various embodiments, a processor of the SRLTE communication device may calculate an expected pilot slew error in response to a radio frequency (RF) resource of the SRLTE communication device becoming available to a first subscription following a declared system loss of the first subscription. The processor may determine a dynamic search window size based at least in part on the expected pilot slew error. The processor may find a pilot signal using the dynamic search window size. Using the pilot signal determined in this manner the processor may reacquire a network associated with the first subscription.

    Abstract: The various embodiments include methods and apparatuses for avoiding interference scenarios during concurrent communication of dual-technology wireless communication devices. Interference scenarios may be avoided by predicatively determining the potential for interference between the channels of multiple communications on the dual-technology wireless communication devices. For a pending communication, a predicative calculation may be made to determine whether the channel of the pending communication and the channel of an active communication may interfere with each other. If so, the communication with a lower priority may switch to the highest powered channel that does not interfere with the higher priority communication. Once the interference condition expires, and the lower priority communication persists, its channel may switch to a higher power channel that will not cause interference with any active or pending communications. Switching the channel for a communication may be prompted by electromagnetic interference from components of the dual-technology wireless communication devices.
