Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing an electrolytic capacitor, the method including the steps of: preparing an anode foil that includes a dielectric layer, a cathode foil, and a fiber structure; preparing a conductive polymer dispersion liquid that contains a conductive polymer component and a dispersion medium; producing a separator by applying the conductive polymer dispersion liquid to the fiber structure and then removing at least a portion of the dispersion medium; and producing a capacitor element by sequentially stacking the anode foil, the separator, and the cathode foil. The dispersion medium contains water. The fiber structure contains a synthetic fiber in an amount of 50 mass % or more. The fiber structure has a density of 0.2 g/cm3 or more and less than 0.45 g/cm3.

Abstract: A disclosed electrolytic capacitor includes a stacked body and a liquid component with which the stacked body is impregnated. The stacked body includes an anode foil having a dielectric layer formed on a surface thereof, a cathode foil, a separator, and conductive polymer layers. The conductive polymer layers include a first conductive polymer layer formed on the dielectric layer, a second conductive polymer layer formed on the cathode foil, and a third conductive polymer layer formed on the separator. The first conductive polymer layer and the third conductive polymer layer are in contact with each other at a first interface, and the second conductive polymer layer and the third conductive polymer layer are in contact with each other at a second interface. When the amount of the liquid component contained in the stacked body has decreased, an electrical resistance between the first conductive polymer layer and the third conductive polymer layer and an electrical resistance between the second conductive polymer layer and the third conductive polymer layer increase.

Abstract: An electrode foil for an electrolytic capacitor contains a valve metal, and includes a core portion, and a porous portion continuous with the core portion. The porous portion has a thickness T μm, and includes an inner layer region located on the core portion side, and a surface layer region located opposite to the core portion. The surface layer region is a region within a distance T/4 from an outer surface of the porous portion, and the inner layer region is a region within a distance T/4 from a boundary of the porous portion with the core portion. An average size D1 nm of pores in the surface layer region is smaller than an average size D2 nm of pores in the inner layer region.

Abstract: An electrolytic capacitor including a plurality of anode bodies and cathode bodies, a plurality of anode tabs connected with the plurality of anode bodies, and an anode lead member connected to the plurality of anode tabs. The plurality of anode tabs include a first anode tab group and a second anode tab group. Each of the first and second anode tab group has a through hole Ha. The anode lead member includes a metal plate-shaped anode connection part, the anode connection part being connected to the first anode tab group and the second anode tab group. Each of the first and second node tab group is connected to the anode connection part using a first fixing structure. The first fixing structure is formed by a portion of the anode connection part extending through the through hole Ha and spreading out to form a crimping structure on the other side.

Abstract: The disclosed manufacturing method includes: a step (i) of preparing an anode substrate having a metal foil exposed at an end surface of the anode substrate; a step (ii) of connecting a plurality of anode lead members to the anode substrate and forming a second dielectric layer on the end surface; a step (iii) of forming a plurality of the anode bodies to which the anode lead members are connected by cutting the anode substrate at a predetermined length; a step (iv) of forming a laminate by laminating the anode body, a cathode body, and a separator; and a step (v) of impregnating the laminate with a conductive polymer and an electrolytic solution. Step (ii) includes: connecting the plurality of anode lead members to the anode substrate; and forming the second dielectric layer on the end surface by immersing the anode substrate in a chemical conversion liquid.
