Abstract: Proposed are a water-splitting hydrogen production photocatalyst including spatially separated cocatalysts and a method of preparing the same. The photocatalyst is shaped to be hollow. The photocatalyst includes a first cocatalyst core containing a first cocatalyst, a catalyst layer positioned on the first cocatalyst core and containing a first catalyst and a second catalyst, and a second cocatalyst layer positioned on the catalyst layer and containing a second cocatalyst. The photocatalyst exhibits excellent hydrogen production efficiency and charge transfer efficiency.
