Abstract: There is provided a method, comprising: receiving a first SCI from a first device indicating a first reserved radio resource for transmission by the first device; receiving a second SCI from a second device indicating a second reserved radio resource for transmission by the second device, the first and second reserved radio resource overlapping at least partially; determining a first and second received signal strength associated with the received first and second SCI respectively; determining at least one of a first MCS applied by the first device or a second MCS applied by the second device; determining, based on the first MCS and/or the second MCS, at least one threshold; and determining, based on the at least one threshold and the first and second received signal strengths, whether or not to transmit a resource conflict indication to at least one of the first device or the second device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for selecting a first candidate beam for communication with a first transmitter (Tx) user equipment (UE) and a second candidate beam for communication with a second Tx UE; determining a first radio resource expected to be used by the first Tx UE for a first radio transmission to a receiver UE and a second radio resource expected to be used by the second Tx UE for a second radio transmission to the receiver UE; determining that the first radio resource overlaps in time with the second radio resource, and that the first candidate beam does not match the second candidate beam; and determining whether to: receive the first radio transmission using the first candidate beam, receive the second radio transmission using the second candidate beam, or receive the first radio transmission and the second radio transmission using a third candidate beam.

Abstract: Network nodes, methods and computer program products are disclosed. The network node is for a wireless telecommunications network and comprises: processing logic operable to execute an application which establishes a data session for transmission of data packets between the network node and another network node; a first radio interface operable to support transmission of data packets with the another network node using a first radio access technology in accordance with any of a plurality of different data transport protocols; a second radio interface operable to support transmission of data packets with the another network node using a second radio access technology in accordance with any of a plurality of different data transport protocols; and a controller operable to select which radio interface and data transport protocol to use for transmission of the data packets of the data session between the network node and the another network node. In this way, the network node is able to transmit data packets between the network node and the other network node for the data session using any of the different radio interfaces and any of the different data transport protocols. This provides for the flexibility to select the radio interfaces and data transport protocols appropriate to the network conditions in order to improve the communication performance and alleviate any performance impacts caused by the network.

Abstract: Processing circuitry for processing data signal prior to transmitting said signal as a visible light communication signal is disclosed. The processing circuitry comprises: an input for receiving the data signal to be transmitted; mapping circuitry operable to map the data signal to a set of active subcarriers and to add nulls corresponding to inactive subcarriers to generate a mapped data signal. Transforming circuitry operable to apply a modified Fourier Transform operation to the mapped data signal to generate a transformed signal. The Fourier Transform operation being modified to maintain the nulls corresponding to the inactive subcarriers in the transformed signal, the transforming circuitry being operable to apply modified coefficients to at least some data values corresponding to active subcarriers to compensate for the maintained nulls, such that the modified Fourier Transform operation does not change the overall energy of the data signal.
