Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide apparatus, methods and computer readable storage mediums for configuring resources for positioning reference signals. In one aspect, the apparatus determines a second set of resource configuration for positioning reference signal (PRS) mapping to resource elements in the second set, which is an extension of the first set of resource configuration for PRS mapping with additional resource elements. In another aspect, another apparatus determines configurations of at least one of the first set and the second set, to configure PRS transmission according to the first set or the second set.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for uplink (UL) positioning of idle or inactive terminal device. In example embodiments, a location management functionality determines a configuration related to an uplink positioning reference signal for a terminal device in an idle or inactive state. The location management functionality indicates the configuration to a location measurement unit. Further, the location management functionality causes a base station to inform the terminal device of the configuration via a paging message to trigger uplink positioning of the terminal device based on the configuration while the terminal device is in the idle or inactive state, or to release the uplink positioning while the terminal device is in the idle or inactive state.

Abstract: A method for a base station includes sending a request for a report on beamforming capability to a target user equipment; receiving the report on the beamforming capability from the target user equipment; allocating at least one positioning reference signal resource for use by the target user equipment based on at least the capability information included in the report; determining a beam sweeping mle based on the at least one positioning reference signal resource allocated for the target user equipment; and sending the positioning reference signal resource allocation and the beam sweeping mle to the target user equipment. A corresponding method for a user equipment includes receiving a request for a report on beamforming capability from a serving base station; sending the report on the beamforming capability to the serving base station; receiving information relating to at least one positioning reference signal resource and a beam sweeping rule from the serving base station; and performing beam sweeping on uplink positioning reference signal transmissions using the received positioning reference signal resource allocation based on the beam sweeping rule.

Abstract: In accordance with example embodiments of the invention there is at least a method, device, and computer readable medium for determining a Timing Advance. A method includes, the network device determines an estimation of a timing advance and an error of the timing advance based on a random access preamble received from the terminal device, the network device determines different communication modes with different lengths of overheads for the terminal device based on the error, and the network device can update the estimation of the timing advance based on feedback information from the terminal device. In this way, accuracy of the estimation of the timing advancing is improved.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for transmitting positioning measurement report are provided. The method includes a step of receiving a location information request from a serving base station or from a location server, a step of determining timing for transmitting a positioning measurement report, a step of generating a report assisted message based on the determined timing for transmitting the positioning measurement report, and a step of transmitting the report assisted message to the serving base station. The key idea of this disclosure is requesting UL resources for positioning measurement report in advance by transmitting a report assisted message. Consequently, the UE can transmit the positioning measurement report just after the measurement data being generated. The disclosure can minimize the delay from positioning measurement data generation to the positioning measurement report.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of channel coordination in the unlicensed spectrum. The method comprises receiving, at a first device and from a plurality of second devices, information about carrier sensing to be performed by the plurality of the second devices; determining a transmission pattern for a target second device of the plurality of the devices based on the information about the carrier sensing and information about time sensitive traffic of the plurality of the second devices, the transmission pattern including at least a sensing period for transmission of time sensitive traffic of the target second device and a muting period of the target second device; and transmitting a first message indicative of the transmission pattern to the target second device. In this way, the interoperability of the TSN network device and the normal network device can be efficiently improved in an industrial automation scenario. By controlling the access/transmission of the TSC traffic in the TSC dedicated transmission period, the TSC traffic of the target network device can be protected and the latency requirements can be satisfied.
