Abstract:
A method of power control can include receiving at a UE a first downlink reference signal from a repeater and a second downlink reference signal from a base station, the first downlink reference signal corresponding to a first path that is between the UE and the base station and passes the repeater, the second downlink reference signal corresponding to a second path that is between the UE and the base station. The UE estimates a first uplink path loss of the first path and a second uplink path loss of the second path and determine a first uplink transmit power corresponding to the first path and a second uplink transmit power corresponding to the second path. The UE performs an uplink transmission on the first path based on the first uplink transmit power and on the second path based on the second uplink transmit power.
Abstract:
A synergetic communication method for relay node identification (ID) acquisition is proposed. The network node may generate a configuration based on the relay node information from a user equipment (UE) to configure the relay node ID for the relay node in an aggregated group. The network node may schedule the operations of the devices of the aggregated group based on the configuration. The UE may detect the relay node and assign the relay node ID configured by the network node to the relay node in the aggregated group. Therefore, when the relay node in the aggregated group cannot directly obtain the relay node ID from the network node, the UE can assist of obtaining the relay node ID from the network node and assigning the relay node ID to the relay node in the aggregated group.
Abstract:
A User Equipment (UE) including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from a cellular station. The controller uses one or more first preambles within a PRACH time-frequency resource to perform a synchronous transmission on the PRACH to the cellular station via the wireless transceiver, or uses one or more second preambles within the PRACH time-frequency resource to perform an asynchronous transmission or a synchronous transmission on the PRACH to the cellular station via the wireless transceiver.
Abstract:
A network control device includes a controller and a wireless communications module. The controller provides a plurality of signaling entities each belonging to one of a plurality of signaling levels to form multi-level signaling entities and configures one or more signaling entities of the multi-level signaling entities to a communications apparatus to communicate with the communications apparatus based on the one or more configured signaling entities. The wireless communications module transmits a plurality of radio frequency signals via the one or more configured signaling entities.
Abstract:
A communications apparatus. A first radio module communicates with a first wireless network and provides wireless communication services in compliance with a first RAT. A second radio module communicates with a second wireless network and provides wireless communication services in compliance with a second RAT. At least two antennas are shared by the first radio module and the second radio module. When the first radio module operates in an idle mode and when the timing of the first radio module performing a first receiving activity coincides with the timing of the second radio module performing a second receiving activity, the second radio module uses the antennas to perform the second receiving activity when a DRX cycle duration of the first radio module in the idle mode is shorter than a DRX cycle duration of the second radio module.
Abstract:
A synergetic communication method for discovery procedure between relay node and source user equipment (UE) is proposed. The network node may generate the resource configuration for discovery procedure and allocate the resource configuration for discovery procedure to a UE. The UE may transmit the resource configuration for discovery procedure to at least one relay node. Thus, the relay node is able to obtain the resource configuration for discovery procedure from the UE.
Abstract:
A synergetic communication method for capability reporting in relay communications is proposed. A user equipment (UE) may detect the relay node(s). In an event that a trigger condition is triggered, the UE may transmit the capability report associated with the detected relay node to the network node. The network node may generate the resource configuration based on the capability report from the UE. Therefore, the network node is able to obtain the capability information of the relay node even if the relay node has limited capability, e.g., the relay node is a layer 0 (L0) relay node or a layer 1 (L1) relay node.
Abstract:
A communications apparatus includes a controller and a wireless communications module. The controller selects a first subset of receiving beam(s) from receiving beams supported by a wireless communications module. The wireless communications module uses the receiving beam(s) in the first subset in turns to receive signals transmitted by a network control device for a first stage of beam training. The network control device uses control beams in turns to transmit the signals. The controller further calculates a detection metric for each combination of the receiving beam(s) in the first subset and the control beams, and determines a preferred control beam and a preferred receiving beam according to the detection metrics for the first stage of beam training.
Abstract:
Various solutions for channel information feedback with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may receive a reference signal transmitted by a network side including one or more than one network nodes. The apparatus may derive a channel response information observed by a receiving domain of the apparatus according to the reference signal. The apparatus may decompose the channel response information into a two-dimensional domain to obtain a linear combination coefficient representation of the channel response information in the two-dimensional domain. The apparatus may report a compressed channel information to the network side based on the linear combination coefficient representation and the two-dimensional domain.
Abstract:
A User Equipment (UE) including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from a cellular station. The controller selects a downlink reference signal associated with a candidate beam among a plurality of downlink reference signals including Channel State Information-Reference Signal (CSI-RS) resources, Synchronization Signal (SS) blocks, or Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) blocks, and determines one from a plurality sets of Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) preambles and RACH occasions for the selected downlink reference signal according to an association configured between the downlink reference signals and PRACH resources. Also, the controller uses the determined set of PRACH preamble and RACH occasion to perform a PRACH transmission to the cellular station via the wireless transceiver.
