Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a casing including a rotational shaft, a first scroll rotated by rotation of the rotational shaft, the first scroll including a first head plate and a first wrap that extends from the first head plate in a first direction, and a second scroll that defines a plurality of compression chambers together with the first scroll, the second scroll including a second head plate and a second wrap that extends from the second head plate in a second direction. Each of the first and second wraps spirally may extend from an outer end toward an inner start end, and the first wrap may have a thickness greater than a thickness of the second wrap.

Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided which is configured such that an arcuate section may be formed from a suction end of a wrap to a first point to increase a suction volume, and a logarithmic spiral section in which a wrap thickness increases may be formed from a second point to a discharge end of the wrap. This may increase a volume ratio of the compressor so as to increase a capacity of the compressor and prevent damage to the wrap due to a high compression ratio operation, thereby enhancing reliability of the compressor.

Abstract: A scroll compressor is disclosed. The scroll compressor includes a rotating shaft coupling portion axially extending from a central portion of an orbiting end plate to radially overlap an orbiting wrap, such that an eccentric portion of a rotating shaft is coupled thereto, and a portion of the orbiting wrap may extend from an end surface of the rotating shaft coupling portion facing a fixed end plate. With the configuration, a distance between bearing reaction force and gas reaction force acting on the orbiting scroll can be reduced, to stabilize a behavior of the orbiting scroll and thus reduce back pressure, thereby decreasing friction loss between scrolls. Simultaneously, compression chambers can be formed even in a central portion of the orbiting scroll, which can increase a compression ratio and improve volumetric efficiency.
