Abstract: There are provided an air conditioner automatic control method, an air conditioner automatic control apparatus, a recording medium, and an air conditioner. The air conditioner automatic control method receives occupancy detection data indicating whether a user occupies a room, receives temperature data and humidity data indicating indoor temperature and humidity, predicts future occupancy probability information of the user by using the occupancy detection data, derives an optimal PMV by using the temperature data and the humidity data, and calculates an optimal temperature by using the optimal PMV, and controls the air conditioner based on the occupancy detection data, the future occupancy probability, and the optimal temperature. Accordingly, the air conditioner can be driven at the optimal temperature suitable for the user.

Abstract: A demand response method, a demand response system, and a recording medium are provided. The response control method includes: determining priorities of devices to be controlled to participate in a demand response; generating respective participation profiles for the devices based on the determined priorities; and changing the priorities of the devices included in the participation profiles, based on whether participation in the demand response according to the generated participation profiles succeeds. Therefore, the user easily participates in the demand response, and thus energy can be saved.

Abstract: An UPnP communication system and method for supporting an active standby mode is provided. A media system according to exemplary embodiments includes: a player configured to play back media in an active mode; and a processor configured to provide device information of the player to a controller in a standby mode, and activate the player when the controller requests playback of media. Accordingly, the fewest renderers excluding media playback are operated, so that media can be played back according to a request from the controller even when a media renderer enters a low-power mode.
